The only reason Hamas is projecting so many demands, and "threatening" to resume fire-- is because they feel they have the support of the president of the United States, and that Israel will only be condemned if it actually responds to the war that Hamas is waging. This is a perverse situation, that would be reversed completely absent the repeated expressions of moral support for Hamas, on the part of Obama and other European leaders. I mean "other European leaders" quite literally. Obama is not acting as an American president.

If Israel is going to give into anything than it will seem the Palestinains are the winner in this conflict, so what was the point?

First, it should be positive words. Words that people can relate to. Peaceful home, prosperity, good health, etc.. The vast majority of families in all countries are mainly concern about having a roof over their heads, food on the table and good health. Don't forget to offer all of these and more for the only requirement of being a good and peaceful neighbor...
