Israel is a sovereign state and, as such, has an absolute and inalienable right to protect and defend its civilians -- in fact, that right is an affirmative duty. If Hamas fires missiles and mortars at Israeli civilians from schools, hospitals and mosques -- and if it uses those schools, hospitals and mosques to stockpile weapons -- those schools, hospitals and mosques INSTANTLY become legitimate military targets. No matter how many civilians are there. NOTHING overrides Israel's duty to its citizens. Hamas have intiated this conflict for ten years and the world US and EU stood by and said nothing, so now they show surprise at the problem. Assad used chemical weapons and the west did nothing , now the US and the EU show surprise at the consequences Millions homeless and hundreds of thousands killed . The West failed to act on Iraq and now the west show surprise at Islamic State and now millions more iraqis are imperiled and christians and other ethnic groups are slaughtered. Conclusion the US and EU stayed silent and Israel and many other communities are now paying the price. It is incredible that the US and EU now preach to Israel on morality of their self defense. Us and Eu need to examine their own inactions for the crisis in the middle east and inaction.

Before the fighting we had rocket fire which was intolerable for the border communities but they learned to live with and Hamas were locked down. Now its beginning to look like we intend to throw away a military victory that cost alot of lives and alot of money to achieve and we are going to give Hamas the political victory and the outcome of who won this war will be decided by the politicians not the soldiers. Frankly, I cannot understand why the western governments and media refuse so adamantly to acknowledge the true nature of Hamas, to see the self-evident reality for what it is: we are not talking about a legitimate liberation movement, one whose goals could be regarded as reasonable and fair; when their spokesman regard Israeli citizens living inside 1967 borders as 'settlers', the only possible conclusion is that we are dealing with true terrorists, bent at destroying Israel and killing as much Jews as possible, just as explicitly stated in their so-called 'chart'.
