1. Yesterday Fatah headed by Abbas called for ethnic cleansing
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.09.14)
of all Jews. Fatah are no less terrorists than Hamas. How can Israel trust them?
2. what is this? a joke?
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (08.09.14)
The PA will insure the border? Ha ha ha. They are brothers in hand with Hamas, both with very deep hatred for Israel and a desire to destroy us. There is a slight political rift between them, but for us to trust them? Come on now, don't dare!
3. What has Saturday got to do with it?
JAS   (08.09.14)
Meanwhile, Hamas slammed Israel for not holding negotiations on Saturday, Israel said it would not negotiate whilst rockets fired from Gaza fell on Israel. Nothing to do with Shabbat. Hamas wants to shoot and talk. Israel only talks when shooting stops. Hamas just does not get it.... Yet.
4. Not only clueless, but lacking any honor, that's us:Israelis
Savior ,   Sacred Land   (08.09.14)
5. Global Islamism wants war
Dan   (08.10.14)
Forget the charade of negotiations. Hamas, like ISIS, only wants war and will never willingly retreat or leave non-Muslims in peace. Israel and the West must recognise this and dedicate themselves to defeating this purely evil enemy. Only when they have been utterly destroyed, like the Nazis and the Japanese in WW2, and Muslim populations shown the error of their ways will the world be able to move forward in peace and prosperity. Otherwise, prepare for never-ending barbarism, violence and war.
6. Stalling? Israel?
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (08.10.14)
Israel hasn't been stalling. It's Hamas who keeps destroying every chance for peace by continue the flow of rockets into Israel. Hamas is totally delusional and so are their worldwide supporters.
7. Incomprehensible
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.10.14)
"We're not interested in an escalation, but we won't accept that there's no response to our demands." Oh, but there are responses to their demands: No. No. No. No. What part of the word "no" do they not understand?
8. We should not wait ! The longer we
DT ,   TA Israel   (08.10.14)
are reactive in Gaza and don't go in there totally the worse it will get internationally. Maximum force or we will be no where and worse off short and long term
9. Hamas savages must be eliminated
CJK   (08.10.14)
they must be defeated and their leaders eliminated. it is absurd that a sovereign democratic state should be forced to negotiate with savages.
10. Global Islamism wants war

11. This is my thoughts on the matter:
erin ,   Israel/USA   (08.10.14)
I say resume fighting: at some point the Arab nations of the Middle East have to get tired of people pressing them down so that they will press Israel down. At some point, the Arab nations have to love themselves enough to not be used by outside forces as a 'middle man' and to want to be treated with respect by the world powers. Beating up on Israel isn't going to do it. Removing yourself from the equation you've been thrust into by someone else WILL do it. I love you enough to say you're being duped. Israel's not your problem. Other people are and Israel is not ever going to be your problem. So I ask you to stop and think about it. Can you work it out with Israel, just because? If you can work out a solution with Israel just because, not for weapons issues, then you've got it made! You can work through anything! Do you want to work through it? I guess that's what I'm asking, because if you do, you'll have to work through it without outside influences. Just you three in the Middle East and a few other close neighbors. Can you do that? Will you. I'm waiting to see if anyone wants to start a whole new world:-) I do.
12. Famous last words
Jerusalem Jew ,   Jerusalem   (08.10.14)
We should call their bluff and have hamas leave the inexisting talks. Hamas has nothing to show for the massive destruction in Gaza. Their worst nightmare is an Israeli government that doesn't want to talk to them. Too bad leftist suckers, like Tzipi Livni, will try to change that.
13. the loser hamas holes don't get to dictate the peace
losers take what ,   they get or nothing   (08.10.14)
14. Hamas plays the tune, Bibi dances
Sidney ,   USA   (08.10.14)
Why is the Israeli delegation back in Cairo? Hamas said that it will leave if Israel does not make concessions. They have also threatened to rocket Tel Aviv on Sunday.
15. just when...
fred ,   USA   (08.10.14)
you think Hamas is stupid and blowing hot air, they trump themselves with even more nonsense
16. OH....PLEASE DO !
les ,   canada   (08.10.14)
it is so useless talking to the (hamas) wall.
17. Christian children are being beheaded by ISIS in Iraq
CJK   (08.10.14)
israel will not bare her neck to savage islamist terrorists. israel sees that she is absolutely alone in her self defence. the obama regime has allowed genocide to take place in syria and in iraq. the europeans are lost to the blackmail of a few wealthy gulf kingdoms who should be eliminated from the face of the earth.
18. Gaza
Yoel ,   IS   (08.10.14)
What is Natanue waiting for- its either them or us (Period) The time for talking is over- there will never be an understanding between Hamas & Israel- (stoping living in hope) the whole country is fedup with promises - take over gaza- NOW!
19. So, let them quit
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.10.14)
The very notion that Hamas are sincere negotiators is ludicrous on its face. Hamas' leadership doesn't care about anything other than themselves. They want to preserve their spiffy apartments in Doha and homes throughout Europe. They deliberately fire missiles into Israel, knowing full well that Israel will retaliate in order to protect its citizens. That is Israel's affirmative duty, as a sovereign state. It is not Israel's obligation to worry about Gaza's civilians -- that is the duty of Hamas. A duty which they cheerfully ignore. But that is not Israel's problem. Israel's affirmative duty to protect and defend civilians does not extend beyond Israel's borders. People need to understand this. That Hamas has left the people of Gaza in an untenable situation is sad, but that's why Hamas is guilty of crimes against humanity -- in addition to being guilty of war crimes for having targeted Israeli civilians. Israel's path is very clear: it needs to put an end to missile fire upon Israeli civilians. That is its SOLE obligation. Israel does not have any duty or obligation to civilians in Gaza. If civilians in Gaza are in the way of Israel's absolute affirmative duty to its citizens -- well, too bad. Only Hamas is to blame.
