1. Was Deif killed?
Joseph Nefsky ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.23.14)
In a New York Times article on August 20, 2014, Mustafa Asfoura, the father of Widad, wife of M. Deif, is quoted as follows: "If Israel wants to kill a fighter, why would it kill women and children beside him? Let them kill him alone." It is possible that Asfoura inadvertently alluded to the successful killing of Deif in the IDF strike, with women and children beside him. It would be useful to analyze carefully the original statement in Arabic.
2. the only way israel attacks on the ground is yaalon
mark   (08.23.14)
bibi is totally ineffectual, no guts and cannot launch a ground operation on his own. Like olmert, he thinks of few casualties and a truce with concessions. he doesn't think .. go for the throat and kill haniyeh and company. Livni and lapid like olmert lack the same fibre. bennett and lieberman can go for the throat. The key man is yaalon. its up to him. One long smash, asymmetric, bury the bastards in their tunnels. hamas msust be fought dirty as they fire from unwra buildings the bastards of pillay and serry endorsing hamas positions.
3. bibi says hamas will pay a heavy price
iraj   (08.23.14)
bla bla bla, bibi threatens hamas with heavy price. He's full of merde. Hamas has nothing to worry about. Next to olmert, bibi right next to him in cowardice, absolute cowardice. he says he wants to strengthen israel with resolve as he hides out in jerusalem while southerns get killed. He harms the morale of jews not only in israel but worldwide. Yaalon is the key man. get a bloody plan in order and go all the way asymmetrically to slaughter, yes slaughter hamas, never mind who comes next. Hamas is cancer vermin. Kill them.
4. Bunker-Busters
Ralph Campbell ,   Perry, FL   (08.23.14)
Why isn't the IDF using "bunker-busting" bombs on the tunnels and bunkers used by Hamas. Seems like a no-brainer to me so when reconstruction starts there will be a flat surface to build upon.
5. Everybody is watching
Avi L.   (08.23.14)
Everybody is watching, Hebzballah, ISIS, Syria and also Egypt. Until now the terror networks and weapon stockpiles have been rebuild. Hezballah has now more rockets than ever despite the UN "watch", which more than anything else has been a shield for the "resistance" to hide behind. What they have learned is that we never go till the very end and that they just have to survive to try it again latter on with founding from one or another. Now the Hamas admited to the kidnapping, planned in order to start another intifada and topple the PLO. There are proof they use human shield, the hospitals, schools, UN , UNWRA buildings and civilian houses to launch their rockets. If we, once more, stop before ending it, showing that the time of the half measure isn't over, next time it will be worse with Hezballah thousands of rockets falling all over cities, airports and you know what more. With hundreds if not thousands of killed. It's time to end it for good, reach the sea and show it's not worth. Humble the jihad, breack their image, bring them chained to court like thieves, expose their riches. And rebuild everything, Saudi have the money to do it under egyptian supervision. The message to the ones who understand is "respect man".
6. Hamas opened the gates of hell
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.23.14)
I hope they enjoy their stay. Hamas constantly trumpets its love of death and desire for martyrdom. We are going to grant their wish.
7. is this a joke?
les ,   canada   (08.22.14)
200 air strikes? 2000 would be a good beginning, before the IDF's overwhelming assault eliminating all of hamas's rocket lunching baby murderers.
