1. Europe would do better to clean its own house first
A ,   Belgium   (08.28.14)
and do something to contain the islamic cancer that is quickly engulfing it and causing French Jews in particular to leave en masse.
2. Hollande has got it the wrong way around
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (08.28.14)
He'd sound credible and not an Israel-hater if he proposed demilitarizing the Gaza Strip THEN lifting the blockade. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
3. PALESTINIAN TTREND AS ISS
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.28.14)
SAME MISTAKE ;ARAB SPRING, IRAQ DEMOCRACY, LIBya FREEDOM AND SO ON . But no Euroenian no USA have direct border with them and all their screw-up have impact only on Israel. Anti-Semitism is bigeer from the rational.
4. Hmm ... let's see
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.28.14)
"Everyone knows the conditions: a democratic and viable Palestinian state living side by side with an Israeli state living in security." "Side by side" is not the same as "to either side." I know! Israel will keep Judea and Samaria and the ersatz "ppalestinians" can keep Gaza.
5. There is nothing that will shake these Euro-dhimmi-idiots
(08.28.14)
out of their stupor, is there?
6. Bigger roll
(08.28.14)
In Rotherham, 1400 young children were raped by criminals, while the authorities knew everything and did nothing. Before these well paid politicians come to Israel to play, they should play a bigger roll in protecting European children.
7. Don't Waste the money!
Bill ,   Skokie U.S.A.   (08.28.14)
The reconstruction of Gaza without the demilitarization of Gaza is a complete waste of money. Without demilitarization its only a matter of time until Gaza is completely destroyed again. It will only take some small issue, a rocket here, a rocket there, and then Bamm! all hell breaks loose and all the money and achievements will be gone. The international community must get a guarantee that history will not repeat itself. Gaza had a airport open boarders and everything they are now asking for. All it takes is some knuckle head with a hardened heart and a rocket to bring about complete destruction. I wouldn't spend a dime unless I knew that things were going to be different! Its time to make sure, and demilitarization is only one part of making sure, even more must be done including things that Israel must commit too. Like accepting the unity government and letting the Palestinians decide whom they choose as their leaders. I think if Israel would have done this when Hamas won the elections before these last seven years would have been peaceful, So there is plenty of blame to go around, what will it take to fix it? That is what the focus should be. Rules and regulations, treaties, and love for your neighbor, are good starting points!
8. EU role has no validity - EU failed to end Lebanon rockets
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (08.29.14)
EU and especially France and the Netherlands demanded a main role in enforcing UNSC1701 after the last Lebanon war - their peacekeeping forces charged with preventing the re-arming of Hezbollah with Syrian and Iranian smuggled rockets. THEY WERE A COMPLETE FAILURE, now 3 times as many rockets in Lebanon as before the war. Its fair to say the cowardly and lying Euro-bastards didn't even try. They saw their mission as preventing Israel from using force to block rocket smuggling. They have no place in keeping Iranian arms from reaching Gaza, certainly not until they cut all economic ties to Iran, impose massive economic sanctions on the mullahs and remove all 80,000 rockets from Lebanon put there by Iran in violation of UNSC1701 - and do this FIRST!
9. Europe: Restore the Balfour, create Coptic State in M/E.
