1. Citizenship procedures?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.04.14)
No, these are not people who will make loyal Israeli citizens. Israeli citizenship is a badge of honor; not a flag of convenience. Either repatriate all non-Israelis to Jordan or deport them to Gaza, where they can work on polishing the shiny new unity agreement between Hamas and Fatah.
2. Who's In Control of Gush Etzion?
Jeff F MNI ,   Chicago, IL   (09.04.14)
I agree with most of what you said but you don't ask why there is only talk and no action. In my opinion, Natanyahu is a leftist in a mileau of rightists, who must talk and pose like a conservative to get his liberal agenda past the members of his coalition and even his cabinet. He's all talk - to appease the right. Never look at what he says, but only at what he actually does. Remember the banner held up by his house in the '90's, by the 'settlers': "You promised, we believed, you betrayed." Then, and now!
3. #1 ??
Frank-el ,   Seattle USA   (09.04.14)
I could equally say the same thing about you and your USA citizenship. How about we ship (repatriate) you to Israel where you can be their model citizen and work on polishing your hate-based ego? At least you wrote a whole paragraph without the word "ersatz". Please go visit Joan Rivers at your local hospital and regale her with your talkbacks, especially the ones dehumanizing Palestinians...you'd both like that I bet.
4. Lol no1 guuuuuurl please!
(09.04.14)
We all know that it will never happen. Get real girl
5. Yes we have to negotiate borders and land
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (09.04.14)
But we HAVE TO drive the Economy forward NOW even whilst negotiations are going on- not wait for three years or more later Take the example of one enterprising Palestinian Family in the Diaspora well educated, resourceful jewellery designers who want to set up home in East Palestine in the West Bank What are they looking for in East Palestine? 1. Stability. calm and law and order 2. An end to the extreme rhetoric in the West Bank media and institutions that send out the wrong messages about tolerance in East Palestine 3. Guaranteed access to Ports and Airports for competitive shipping costs 4. Free access to markets in Jordan, Gaza, Egypt and especially Israel with a huge receptive market of Israeli Arabs 5. Joint Trade Exhibitions based in Israel Egypt and Jordan for a critical mass of Exhibitors 6. Joint cooperation to stimulate Tourism in Jordan, East Palestine, West Bank and Egypt an important market for their jewellery 7. A war on corruption. No incoming entrepreneur wants to be faced with having to give bribes for this and that just to set up. There has to be maximum transparency and ZERO TOLERANCE on corrupt trade practices THATS the sort of Technocratic Economic Leadership we need to draw in and persuade investors to come to East Palestine Not Barghouti making fashion statements on TV
6. To no. 1.
Bertram ,   London, UK   (09.04.14)
"Israeli citizenship is a badge of honor; not a flag of convenience." Tell that to all the Russians who came in the last 30 years. Tell that to those Jews who came to Palestine/Israel fleeing persecution because there was nowhere else to go. Antisemitism rather than idealistic Zionism was the eventual driving force (and still is) for migration to Israel. It is not a badge of honour - it is a badge of refuge - rightly so. All the more reason why you don't treat others in the way the Jewish people have been historically treated. However, the right does not care too much about Hillel's golden rule, reflected in the way you bang on about 'repatriation' of non-Jordanian nationals (which they are, since 1988) to Jordan. But then, they are only Arabs, not real human beings - aren't they?
7. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.04.14)
Actually, sluggo, I was born in the United States. But go ahead. Take me on. Watch what happens. Did you bother to check with your tattooed wife? Perhaps she is not all that interested in trading in her four-sizes-too-small miniskirt for a burqa. And she REALLY needs to lose some weight. Or plant a red wide-load flag in her butt. Your call. Not hers, of course, she's just a slave. Bring it on Frankie boy. Watch what happens.
8. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.04.14)
Why not? Do you REALLY mean to suggest that the ersatz "palestinians" are something less than genuine? What's wrong with Gaza? I mean -- REALLY -- we're ready to gift them a country. Isn't that enough? Is there something wrong? Is any place that doesn't have homes, universities, cafes. stores, farmland -- ALL BROUGHT ABOUT BY THE JEWS -- enough? Geez Louise. I guess if it isn't ready, made, worked for by sweat equity and waiting, the ersatz "palestinians" just aren't interested. Why work for something when you can sit back and wait -- and hope against hope -- that the international community gifts it to you? Lazy kaffirs is what the ersatz "palestinians" are. Let them build their fictional state in your backyard, then. Why aren't you at the ramparts, screeching? Are you a phony? Or just an idiot? Never mind. I KNOW the answer to that. Sober up and find a job, can't you? I am certain that I speak for all American taxpayers when I say that I am REALLY tired of paying for your double-wide and foodstamps.
9. ;-)
Adler ,   Israel   (09.04.14)
"Sara B #1 Let says there is no reason for you to post in ynet talkbacks as an act of retaliation against terror attacks....there is no reason to reply to other talkbakcs comments just as a political act of retaliation for critics within the government... After all i do not understand article. Why he wrote it Sara? Please enlight us with your knowledge...
10. Stop Talking. Just Annex Our Land!
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.04.14)
Israel has absolutely nothing to say to "Palestinian" poseurs who seek to mass murder us and steal our sole tiny Homeland. Stop talking with them. Just annex our land. Stop the phony "peace talks with Palestinians" that maim and murder thousands of Israelis. Do what it takes to totally defeat Fictional Palestine. Start by totally ending all lunatic Israeli support of Fictional Palestine.
11. #6:Yes, for you Bertram it's a refuge, since the meaning of
(09.05.14)
"honor/pride" when in Jewish context has long lost all meaning. Just stay there and await your sorry end: at least you'll go down as a proud Marxist/progressive/enlightened Euro-dhimmi you surely fancy yourself being. Your friend from Tel Aviv.
