Can you expect anything better from the military police?

The officer is the one who has to answer for the death of his soldier and live with it for the rest of his life. With all the decisions and stress he has to deal with in a warzone, I would understand why he would lose control and hit his soldier that is negligent.

I guess he won't forget to wear the jacket. Better this than getting wounded or killed.

military is normal. It used to be normal in the US Navy and commanders would turn their heads when the Chief beat up an enlisted for doing something that could cost him his life unless he was corrected in a way he never forgot. But since Admiral Elmo Bud Zumwalt was the CNO and humanized the US Navy, the juniors are not controlled that way anymore. They might get roughed up a bit at US Marine boot camp, but even there, a call or letter to Mama causes problems for the Drill Instructors. This fellow's wounds don't look as severe as the beatings I got from my parents for minor infractions like asking for a better pillow or not eating a pig sandwich because Scriptures forbids eating pig. When my sister Martha attacked me after sharpening her fingernails into points, I was all bloodied up and my parents didn't even call the police. But when a person is afflicted early in life like I was and this IDF apparently is, Elohim notices and if the person who is beaten up a lot does not curse Elohim, there is a good chance Elohim will reveal His Son to that person to make him/her a part of His family since the family on earth is so awful or the IDF experience is so awful, etc.
