Hamas will not break the cease fire with some rockets that are very likely to be intercepted by Iron Dome. They will opt for an infiltration that will for sure kill a number of Israelis. Retaliation is not a deterrent. Hamas does not care how much of Gaza is destroyed or how many Arabs are killed. And the world will blame Israel anyway.

... an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, how about not letting ANYTHING into Gaza?

Where is the incentive for the terror boys not to behave recklessly ? Each and every mortar or rocket fired from Gaza should result in one week suspension of all delivery of goods, electricity included. Attempted attack from a terror tunnel should result in one month suspension.

So, what's the difference ? A rocket was fired into Israel just today because they have no incentive to stop firing.

They have more rockets today than they had before operation. Israel need to take Hamas down or things will get worse at the worst possible time, when US will be exposed for crimes against humanity in Syria and will demand concessions from Israel to repay.

It will be interesting to observe President Putin playing with natural gas delivery when Europe will be shivering in the middle of the winter.
