61. Haredim flight
Jonathan Ottenstein ,   Brooklyn   (09.28.14)
I am a lubavitcher who lives in Brooklyn Every day I take the subway to work many times sitting next to a woman as do many others. Moshe Feinstein, the great posek says there is no problem If they want to gaurantee that they wont sit next to a woman they shoud charter their own fflights. there is no halachic basis for this

Dribs ,   USA   (09.28.14)
"Aisles," not "isles"!
63. Haridem on planes
Daniel Moshe Johnson ,   Canada   (09.28.14)
Shalom I think the religious Jews are to be heralded from their stance based in Jewish Law. I think the airline or the Orthodox community as a whole should pool their wealth through fundraising and corporate sponsors to purchase charter flights solely for the Orthodox. This is not far fetched, it can be done. Good day
64. No Principles
Mordy ,   Montreal, Canada   (09.28.14)
The ultra-orthodox did indeed sit next to women during take-off. They already compromised their religious principles. It they were truly orthodox, they would not have done so. Principles so easily broken make such a chillul Hashem.
65. This is why t's better to fly in and out of Israel
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (09.28.14)
...on Fridays. That's what my mum does ; )
66. 14 Min. delay- Very good for ELAL
Chaim ,   Jerusalem   (09.28.14)
See: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4489540,00.html BTW, haven't been on a ELAL flight for nearly ten years now, and keeping it strong. Their flights are way to stressful for me.

MEANWHILE THEY OFTEN FREQUENT HOOKERS ,, NASTY SOME THEM ,, HYPOCRITES
68.  Swissair from Geneva to Tel Aviv..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (09.29.14)
once upon a time, used to serve a small crustacean or two on this route for lunch. On one occasion, I was sitting next to a Haredi man and found it hard to enjoy my meal after he asked if I was Jewish ; )
69. Simple solution - ElAl has to take responsibility -
barbara ,   Haifa   (09.29.14)
When holidays set in and ELAL knows the religious are going to be traveling in numbers, then a separate ELAL airplane should be chartered for them (definitely charging more for the special treatment). Also when booking tickets, there should be a check box if person(s) are Haredim.
70. Only Haredi Flights
Joe ,   Israel   (09.29.14)
Suggestion for El-Al: Offer only Haredi flights on smaller planes. To cover the difference in costs and profits, charge extra. If one insists on the pursuit of "modesty" let him pay for it. Comment: Trying pulling this "shtick" on BOAC, Air France or Lufthansa.
71. Many of the posters stated a simple solution:
Koose E Mack ,   NY US   (09.29.14)
El Al should show a little sensitivity towards Haredim and respect their religious beliefs. In low volume situations, it's easy enough to remedy the situation. On crowded flights, the airline should show more sensitivity.
72. hatedi blocking takeoff of El Al flight
Savta ,   NYC   (09.30.14)
they are completely out of order and should lease their own flight.
73. Puzzling.Most prefer sitting next to women!
American Hindu ,   USA   (10.01.14)
Do not think they would behave like this on a non Israeli airliner. Did they also refuse food served by the airhostesses? There must be a solution while booking the tickets. Or else all passengers must sign a form saying that they understand that they may have to sit next to a person of the opposite sex. Or else they can take a cargo ship!
74. Wait for the right plane
Bill Inaz ,   Denver, USA   (10.15.14)
They should wait until they have a full plane of just these knotheads so they can fly together.
75. Haredim on El Al flight
Robert ,   Arsuf, Israel   (11.01.14)
The best solution to this problem is for the Haredim to purchase their own airline and segregate it as the wish. They wouldn't dare act this way on any other airline. If El Al had courage, they would remove them from the flight as soon as they started to create a ruckus. Let them come to Israel by ships.
76. Male chovanists
Robert Ozinga ,   Surprise, AZ   (12.30.14)
Solution is simple. Heredims should lease a private jet or boat or whatever to go from A to B or don't go at all. They don't belong in our society if they don't repect the rightful wishes of others.
77. One more drop
David ,   herzlyia   (04.11.15)
till there is no offense from our side (for example a clear visible miniskirt that could excite even a none) then whoever does not like his seat should be grounded and try his chance in a boat !
