1. Peace won't bring Peace
Zechariah   (09.30.14)
There will never be Peace even if Israel and the Palestinians reach some interim agreement the land swap security over the Jordan Valley on For BenGurion AirPort a United Jerusalem and a Compensation for Palestinian Refugees .Fanatics Psychopaths Egoists and Opportunists will Stir the Stable Remedy into a Chaos and Mayhem .Extraordinary Vigilance and Humane Flexibility is needed but this will only Minimilize the Jungle .Just notice the books and movies that have high ratings and are Best Sellers .
2. Bibi did great
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (09.30.14)
Everyone agreed that his speech mentioned the main points and was directed to those who need to understand Israel's plight and the reality of Islam.
3. Israel must take the initiative.
Zev ,   Israel   (09.30.14)
The status quo cannot continue and if it does Israel will lose. Israel must create facts on the ground and if it doesn't they will be made by the rest of the world.
4. An empty prater and a shande on Israel
Beno   (09.30.14)
Why do Israelis put up with it? Heavy metals deliberately placed into the water to induce mental fog? What is wrong with you people?
5. The "Me, Myself and I"- syndrome:
Scar P ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.30.14)
Great article again, by N. Barnea. I would like to add that I first noticed the obsessive and incessant "I-talk", a few years ago, when Gilad Shalit was released from captivity. Netanyahus speech was loaded with I this and I that. I (sic) was thinking - how much is simple PR, spin and marketing, and how much is megalomania.
6. Iran is ISII (Islamic state in iran)
Bob   (09.30.14)
7. What exactly is Barnea's problem?
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (09.30.14)
Fortunately Netanyahu is Israel's Prime Minister and not Barnea, who probably had to swallow hard when he gave Netanyahu just praise in his first lines. But Netanyahu IS Israel's Prime Minister and his responsibility to the nation of Hebrews makes recalling the wonderful and succinct lines from Isaiah very timely and very much in place. Who is there more apt than he to underline them to this audience? What exactly is Barnea's problem? .
8. barnea s/b fired
bobby   (09.30.14)
his hatred for bibi & reason is above & beyond. bibi did not day that abbas is hamas. my god, how can a newspaper employ an ignoramous like barnea
9. Main thing is to avoid another Oslo (=which wil
(09.30.14)

11. The pot calling the kettle black...hilarious...

12. The PM's Speech is excellent
Brod ,   USA   (09.30.14)
Contrary to the writer's postulation that is a volcanic reaction of Leftism, the PM's speech is excellent. It educates the world. It detoxes the poison on Israel that Abbas and his cohorts have showered to the world. It exposes the venom of the dark forces-the enemies of humanity. It strengthens Israel's moral standing in the world.
13. Read the Koran
ALAN ,   USA   (09.30.14)
Have you read the Koran, it's available at amazon. Wait until you see what ISIS has in store for us. no-one will say it but with the way the US is fighting, they can win. Remember Michael Corleone's statement in godfather 2, "As long as people are willing to blow themselves up, they can win!" ISIS is all over the world, they want world domination and it is just a matter of time.
14. I'll be sure to print this opinion..
Chaim ,   Arad   (09.30.14)
then place it at the bottom of my bird cage. That is about all it is worth. Bibi, at least there is one who calls a duck a duck. And about Iran, I bet that sent shivers up Obama's spine. Oh Wait, he doesn't have a spine.
15. excellent article Barnea!!
JGedalov   (09.30.14)
great analysis and very clever play on words! Netanyahu is right! but i agree with you, Islamic State in Iraq and Syria are not like Hamas.
16. Well spoken #5
World Citizen ,   the world   (09.30.14)
Netanyahu is all about promoting Netanyahu. He has all the classic symptoms of megalomania. Some simple minds are fooled by his histrionics but once you see through his act you realise how absurd his words are. "Hamas is ISIS. ISIS is Hamas". You have to laugh at his nonsense. I tell you that every time he stands in front of the UN Assembly he makes a fool of himself. He and his ilk have done more to harm Israel than you will ever know. But that is OK. I have to admit he is our best ally against the apartheid government of Israel.
17. another proof of desconnection of Israel people and history
Avram Goldsmith ,   toronto   (09.30.14)
18. Hear what you like
Jeff ,   chicago   (10.01.14)
Mr Barnea created a line and had an article to write. He never said or implied that Abbas is Hamas.. Barnea is a leftist and can't stand someone from the right who is smart, eloquent and and admired by both senate and congress.
19. 2 weeks ago Obama said
(10.01.14)
"I do not know how to deal with Islamic State". I bet he knew: Khalidy told him and he must support them like all Arabs suport Islamic state.
20. To #16:
Scar P ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (10.01.14)
It´s not an apartheid government. Netanyahu is a brilliant man. I disagree with his policies and procrastinations and I pray that he is not suffering from megalomania. However, I think he should hire new advisors, regarding media and soundbites and so on.
21. World Idiot planted #5 post to pat himself on the shoulder
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.30.14)
22. Barnea, Haber, and Shiffer are laughing stock of journalism
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.30.14)
23. Bibi is a great speaker. Israel needs to annex Judea/Samaria
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.01.14)
Bibi is a great speaker. There is no question about that. Unfortunately, he lacks the courage to claim our 4,000 year old ancestral heartland and stop paying homage to the abominable Two State Final Solution. That will be the job of the next P.M.
24. Amazing!!!
m   (10.01.14)
Actually I agree with Barnea. Who remembers last UN speech with the red line? What happen? Any attacks on Iran that I missed?
