I suggest that all the arab nations move forward with a progressive peace plan. Instead of Israel, which is a very small geographic location, give up more of their territories to achieve a lasting peace-that all the surrounding arab nations absorb all the arabs living in Israel and the Gaza Strip. Israel, unlike the Jordanians, allowed Christians & Muslims to come & go freely in those areas. The deeds to the land were and are owned by Jews. They allowed the Muslims to continue living in Jewish apartments & homes as long as they continued paying rent to the Jews. Arafat came along & told the Muslims to be arrogant & not pay! all so-called palestinian territory was occupied by jordan and egypt and before that they were all part of the ottoman empire. the arab palestinians made no claims on any of the territories of the west bank and gaza while they were under ottoman rule or jordanian/egyptian occupation. indeed what the arab palestinians wanted was the territory of the sovereign state of israel. there will not be a solution to this festering conflict for many decades to come--until the arabs and the larger muslim world will stabilize and meaningfully moderate and accept a solution more rational than the creation of a new arab terror state. the west needs to stop panicing at the idea of the existence of a well armed and capable friendly state across the eastern mediterranean. the entire west should be grateful that little israel guards a crucial gate to the continent soaked in jewish blood.
