Scoop! Hold the presses! Israelis are idiots, front page story. /yawn
2. Bad Idea
Rafi ,   Merkaz, Israel   (10.06.14)
I can't believe our government is going to risk bringing the virus back to Israel, with its small, enclosed population. I won't even get into the budget deficits of our own medical system. Who is running this nut house?

It is galling to see how cheap Israeli elites hold Israeli lives. Aside from the fact that there will be no thanks for putting Israeli lives in danger from anyone, Israel cannot afford to be a donor nation. Spend the money on your military, instead. There is a big world out there with a lot of big countries, so I am sure they can manage without Israel in West Africa.
5. Helping Ebola Affected Countries
Jose ,   Australia   (10.06.14)
Israel is seen as a world leader in emergency response and rescue missions. You have saved lives in Africa and other parts of the world over the years. Although Ebola is dangerous, It will not spread in Israel through health workers coming to Africa because they know what to do. In addition across Africa, Israel companies make billions of dollars in IT, tourism Agriculture and security sectors and can be affected if those countries collapse. I thank the Minister for sending teams to help- It is the right thing to do and Africans will not forget!!
6. Whatever for?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.06.14)
Has the civilized world -- and the not-so-civilized-world -- suddenly run out of physicians? Where's nursie boy Ben Alofs? Why isn't he spearheading relief efforts -- in person, up front and close? This is not Israel's problem. We clean up enough messes for the world. Let the international community take charge of this one. Israel has issues that take priority -- like dealing with the terrorist mongrels that the rest of the world has nurtured so carefully for decades.

When Israel aids Africans suffering from ebola,it will most likely not reap any rewards. That's just the way the world operates. But Israel should give its assistance with utmost caution. I would favor outfitting a cargo ship with a transportable hospital and anchor it off the West African coast near enough to allow for transit of sick people back & forth to & from proximate West Africa. The cost of the hospital ship could be borne by good folks..like the Swedes or Norwegians..you know, the perfect ones from the north lands. The instructions for running the hospital ship could be done by video recordings in appropriate languages. It would be disinfected after use and 'mothballed" for the next viral outbreak.
