I still don't get how this app is kosher if you are not supposed to use technology on the Sabbath.

no, you really don't get it.
3. Who needs that. Invent a Shabat car
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.11.14)
This might incite more people to go to the synagogue on Shabat.
4. #1 You're right. It's kosher for reform

as kosher as slaughtered and salted pork is for eating. If ynet post such articles, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

There are practices that go against the spirit of Shabbos, even if they are not technically a Torah prohibition. People addicted to texting need to overcome their addiction, not find ways to lessen the sanctity of Shabbos. We just saw an annual custom in Israel where every Jew, however secular, leaves his car unused on Yom Kippur to respect the sanctity of the day. Let frum teens respect the sanctity of Shabbos!
6. sad article
david ,   new york   (10.13.14)
that there are people so addicted to texting that they are willing to give up their religion just so they can go on with their addiction. also sad is that some guy in colorodo sees this as a way to make a buck.
