2. and the online campaigns of sending pizzas to our soldiers??
Tour guide ,   Tel Aviv   (10.12.14)
people, mainly foreigners, were donating $50 to $100+ to send a pizza to IDF soldiers near or in gaza, "pizza requests" from suspect looking facebook pages requesting YOUR MONEY via paypal. Its a disgrace that peoples good intentions were taken advantage off by money hungry robbing arsim.

How can you blame the IDF? The people allow themselves to be drafted for what?$150-200 a month. Of course they would take advantage of them. They get away from paying them a decent living wage. At 18 you are an adult. You should be treated as such. You can't pay a man or women a 10 year old child's monthly allowance.

As a lawyer, I can tell you it is best to make bequests in your will to specific charities. Defense ministry can not possibly direct money according to each donors' wishes-- it would be an administrative nightmare and actually consume funds to do so. Livni knows this is true-- she just wants more power to distribute funds according to her priorities.

It's not just the IDF brass, Richard B. Cramer dedicated a whole chapter in his book "How Israel lost" to the 'donation industry' in bed with government screwing up old Jews in diaspora and naive Christians to enrich themselves and their buddies in charge of regulation. The whole zionist paradise is build on lies and deception ,...

Money is fungible. Once money is left to a bureaucracy, it is in the the bureaucracy. Rest assured the amount of money spent on any of these items exceeds the amounts left to them, therefore, this is utter nonsense. And these amounts are miniscule compared to the budget. This is posturing by Livni. As for the demand that Israel go to a "professional" army, please note that the "professional" armies of the EU are practically useless and the US army may not be compared to any other army as the rate of US defense spending is insane compared to the rest of the world.

This is hardly a singular occurrence. Many might ask what happens to all those JNF funds, too. A "light unto the nations", they say. More like a candle burning down to its butt and drowning in its own wax. Pensioners grubbing for food on the market streets, 60% of the nation on minimum wage, unemployment crawling towards 10%, and the leaders and the heads of corporations getting fatter and fatter. A survey not so long ago said the perception of the army was that it was the least corrupt of Israeli institutions. Wrong. It's where the "old boys' club" is formed and leadership has for some time gone from bad to worse. What a sorry state things have come to.
11. Soldiers Benefits Fund
Stan ,   Israel   (10.15.14)
When it became public knowledge that the retired senior officer running this fund received a monthly salary of almost $30,000 (12 times the average wage) in addition to his fat military pension, I decided to stop donating to the fund.
