This sort of behaviour, the Europeans announcing in advance that they will reward the PA for rejecting peace, is the anti-peace nonsense that the Europeans have engaged in for years. The PA has always been told that they will be given what they want anyway if they just hold out in peace talks. Even if Muslim extremism was not rife in the region, this would be enough to sabotage talks. Even worse, the Europeans embrace the PA's hate-filled demand for a racially-pure state with Jerusalem as its capital, a demand that is physically impossible for Israel to deliver on, even if it were willing to try. It is hard to believe that the Europeans are pro-peace when they create conditions that make peace more impossible than it already is. It seems more like the Europeans do not think that Israelis have any right to live in the region in the first place, and on this basis they blame Israelis for the lack of peace, to the point that even the very Jewish presence in Jerusalem becomes "poison" to peace talks, in their view.
