I think you're being a bit unfair to the ethical pharmaceuticals manufacturers. Viruses such as Ebola crop up in regions where the physical environment cannot sustain the pressures of overpopulation, meager resources and a population that does not have the same kind of access to medical care and clean water that we in the West take for granted. If you recall, the first outbreak of Ebola occurred in 1976, and affected chiefly Zaire and South Sudan. Ebola is really only a form of hemorrhagic fever -- sooner or later, we will find a vaccine ..... and then in severely challenged areas of overcrowding and poor living conditions, something new and even more deadly will blossom and grow. Isn't that the way of viruses? Combat one, and something far more deadly comes along. It's just nature fighting back.
