1. Livni: Destroy Hatnua, like you did Kadima, and be gone!
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.26.14)
Memo to Livni: The best thing you can do for Israel is to destroy your ridiculous new Hatnua Party. Just like you destroyed Kadima. Polls show Hatnua is already near extinction. Than, Livni, be gone forever. You are one of the worst politicians Israel has ever known.
2. Livni's "security argument" is more damaging than Bennett's.
Matt C ,   Canada   (10.26.14)
For years Israeli diplomats, in an effort to seem reasonable, have stuck to a security-centric argument in peace negotiations, while Abbas has stuck to a "rights" argument, saying that Israel is violating Arab rights. Israeli diplomats have allowed Abbas to hijack the entire "rights" narrative, to the point that Israeli rights are dismissed completely and Abbas can make up whatever he wants on the subject, including a "right" to a racially-pure state. But while Livni may think focusing on security is reasonable and will win her international approval, the reality is she is falling into Abbas' trap. International opinion will always sympathise with a narrative of "rights" more than one of "security," as we have seen in Gaza. As long as Israel doesn't counter Abbas' "rights" narrative, all he has to do is refuse to sign a peace agreement to maintain a perception of "his" people's supposed victimhood.
3. Livni
Rich Olinsky ,   Givat Brener, Israel   (10.26.14)
I see Livni as a light and hope within the darkness of the Bibi nothingness, the Bennett fanaticism, and the Lieberman cynicism.
4. ..but it is not worth saving Livni from
DT ,   TA Israel   (10.26.14)
Livni.
5. Brilliant woman with balanced views
Harri ,   EU   (10.26.14)
I hope there would be more leaders like Livni in this troubled planet. The fact that she makes far right furious, should be a good reference for everyone who knows some history.
6. "doing nothing is not an option"
tiki ,   belgium   (10.26.14)
Sometimes "doing nothing" it's the best & right option. Sometimes 'do nothing, take a step back & reflect can bring new insights & defuse explosive situations. Always 'doing something can make a conflict worse, a row deeper or a situation more dangerous. Israel should be saved from Livni, a woman to full of herself to grab that maybe, just maybe other people might be right and she's wrong.
7. Livni
C   (10.26.14)
she is very satisfied with herself. such a person is easy to influence. she links the rise of the aptly named islamic state with the arab-israeli conflict, taking a page out of kerry's playbook.
8. TASK DRIVEN, MRS LIVNI, REALLY?
FO ,   Belgium   (10.26.14)
Well I would thought, Mrs. Livni, that as a jurist, a lawyer, and last but not least, a minister of justice, that your prime task would be to defend the state of Israel in international, diplomatic arena! You should know best, and I hope you do, that actually Israel is considered as a rogue state, joining North Korea and Iran, being a colonial regime, stealing territory of another nation, transferring its population in occupied territory by violating the Fourth Geneva Convention, etc. etc... As a jurist, as a lawyer, and last but not least as a minister of justice, Mrs. Livni, I suppose, or rather I hope, that you have some knowledge about recent Jewish history and that facts as the San Remo Conference, that put the foundations for a Jewish state, the League of Nations' Mandate for Palestine that put it in a legal form and gave the Jewish people the irrevocable right to settle anywhere on the territory between the Sea and the Jordan River, including the Golan Heights, the UN Charter Article 80 that reaffirms all League's decisions, and Resolution 242 based on Article 80 and the Mandate for Palestine, that all this is not unknown to you! Should all this remain classified to the detriment of the country you are actually the minister of justice? Without prejudging any solution concerning the so called West-Bank, about an issue regarding the Muslim population (deliberately I don't mention Arab population, because after the passage of Napoleon, the Turks "imported" European Muslims into Palestine, being afraid of … Christian immigration.) a creative solution, including eventually Jordan, as suggested by late Y. Rabin, isn't it your task, your duty to fight for truth and free Israel of the accusation being a rogue state???
9. #5 you forget
(10.26.14)
Livni was the architect who turned Hezbolla from a local militia to the powerful army that helped Assad use Sarin on Syria freedom fighters.
