Low-heat Intifada light might indeed help Abbas in his attempts to launch a diplomatic siege on Israel. But it might be yet become another backlash for the palestinians. Look at the region - turmoil, instability - and it could get much worse. And there are plenty ot fellows who would like Israel to become like Libya, Iraq or Syria - to become a failed state. This threat is real. We have to fight those terrorists. And if Abbas wants peace, he should act against those threats, not fan the flames. The europeans should pay close attention to the Words and actions of Abbas. If Yaacov Peri and others are right, that Abu Mazen is a partner, then he has to prove it during the coming months. And - we, Israel, should stop incitement and present constructive proposals that run counter to the violent and apocalyptic tendencies in the Middle East.

2. "Shalom" means peace. Arobs say "Salem" means break as in
"respite",so what I am saying is that arobs have no words for peace, they only take a break from conflict & pursue it after they have rested up. Don't ever thing that "intifada" is another conflict ; the conflict is a continuum.

B"H - Humbug. Yehuda Glick is no "right-wing activist". There is a video on YouTube showing him praying with an Arab on the Temple Mount to Allah. Just because someone is the Temple Mount doesn't mean he is a right-wing activist in general and Yehuda Glick in particular is for coexistence.

Easy to blame the Jew to make a "balanced" article, but it has nothing to do with reality: it is mostly thanks to Obama.
The last war was started by a desperate Hamas: no money, Egypt actively trying to destroy them, and Abbas planning his return to Gaza. They planned to go down in a blaze of glory, or spread the war to Judea and Samaria.
Then, Obama allied himself with Hamas, spreading the "Dead Arab Baby" blood libel, closing Ben Gurion airport, and imposing an arms embargo on Israel.
Even if Abbas wanted to negotiate and keep the peace he could not: the Arab street saw that Hamas with its calls for genocide and attacks on Israeli civilians was getting full US support.
Abbas had no choice: he had to start the Intifada.
perpetuated by Israel's extreme nationalist right-wing.

5. Delusional idea to create a Palestinian State...
Will ensure that the "4th Intifada" will be much worse that the prior 3 combined.

6. Welcome intifada as golden opportunity to clean house

Far from fearing a new "Palestinian" intifada; Israel should welcome it as a golden opportunity to clean house and rid Israel of a great many genocidal foes.
