Dear Mr Hamdan ,I am sorry for your loss ,however perhaps you should have raised your son differently and taught him NEVER to attack and threaten ARMED Policemen ? Your son was an adult and he had to live and die with the consequences of his actions .In no country in the world can a young man threaten police officers with a knife or other weapon and not expect the police not to react .

If poor Mr Hamdan is brutally honest with himself ,and that admittedly is a very hard thing to do ,he will come to understand that his son was not as innocent as he would wish to believe, video evidence shows his son threatening armed police officers which is always a dangerous proposition.

Should I suppose that Khair Hamdan was also thinking in stabbing the soldier sitting inside the van in his leg while he kept forcing to open the door ?. The footage clearly shows Khair trying to break the window with his knife just where the soldier's face was. Shoult Israeli police ask each terrorist if they already have a previous criminal rekord before taking drastic measures?. This is war and at war it is you or me, so I prefer it to be you.

The policeman deliberately shot Khair Hamdan because Hamdan tried to murder him with a knife. Advice to Hamdan: don't try to kill people, you won't be shot. A long ago time ago, maybe 1992, a member of the elite Yamam force was attacked by an Arab armed with a knife at Armon Hanatziv. Due the orders at the time (given by Rabin who did not want to "enrage" the Arabs), the Yamam officer drew his gun, shot in the air, then tried to aim at the attackers leg. Thanks to idiotic orders and his efforts to spare the life of his attacker, he left a widow and baby daughter who will never know her father.

When Palestinians call someone a hero for running over a three year old girl, I feel no sadness for Palestinians killed for attacking the police with a knife. If you bring up your children to live in peace, then there will be peace. You live in a civilized country that has many benefits, there are people living in the streets in India that would love to trade places with you and have the advantages you have.
