How is Israel to resolve the conflict when Palestinians reject a Jewish majority Israel and use any territory in their control to attack Israel? The Europeans don't know or don't care. It's either anti-semitism or Europeans sucking up to Muslims to preempt terrorism. It won't change anything on the ground. Palestinian leaders just use it to make their people think they are actually doing something.

They have no government, noly chaos. The arabs cannot agree among themselves who their government is: Fatha, Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO, ISIL and al the other acronyms all claim to be the truw voice and they kill all opposing vuews. They have no defined border. They have no economic structure. In short, they have nothing and are nothing.

Bravo France. You have 'recognized another failed Muslim state.....and now what? A bunch of losers not having a clue how to solve their own problems at home but believing that by 'recognizing "Palestine" this will change....it won't! "Palestine" will not exist and France will go down & under and that 'shitty little country far away will stand aside and laugh about so much amateurism.

Look who's doing the recognizing - the Swedish governing coalition that has under 50% of actual people's votes (in Sweden you can have a government by coalition of less than 50%), the forced party-line vote by the British oppositional Labor (elections are soon, plus less than half of the Parliament actually voted), and now the unpopular French government is the last one. All countries have a significant Muslim population. All are teetering on the threshold of new elections (yes, even Sweden, since they're a minority government, if their budget does not pass, there will be new elections).

Look, the vast majority of the world has not recognized Jerusalem (in any borders) as Israel's capital, but that's where everyone knows Israel's government sits. They want to recognize Palestine? Fine. Prevent their actual travel to the territories or the access of Palestinians to the consulates in Jerusalem. They want to raise taxes on Israeli products - fine, make sure Palestinian products sit a day too long at the border. I'm sure Liberman knows the old Soviet methods of non-military retaliation.

I care about what the French do, because .... it is the world's fourth largest economy, because it is the cradle of individual freedom and equal rights (think of the French Revolution), because it is one of the permanent members of the Security Council, because it is one of the richest cultures in the world, and last but not least because their food is so mmmmm good!

Three cheers for France. Those who are against France will fall down on their nose.

That's the funny thing, Harold. For decades, the Arab regimes have been telling their people that tomorrow will bring the end of the Zionist regime. It worked for those Arab regimes. It worked for them so well, that today you can see the Arab world on fire. It was a nice claim, a fiery slogan, an illusion of an outside enemy that will be brought down. Just keep supporting Nasser/Assad/Hussein/whoever else. The pathetic Left in Europe is doing the same thing to curry favor with the Muslim populace. But the reality is that after winning their votes, they will still need to deliver. And when they can't deliver an improvement in people's everyday situation, they will be voted out, while the Islamic extremism in Europe will only increase. I hope Europe is ready for that.
