The one consistent thing I have observed about Israelis is their delusional ability to ignore the logical consequences of their actions. It appears that exactly zero Israelis have thought about what happens after Abbas dies (he is almost 80). Given the ZERO results his diplomatic actions and his negotiations with Israel have achieved, what will replace Abbas? Given the global situation, Israel is very likely to have a very militant replacement. Sure the IDF can try to keep a lid on with force, but how long before the lid blows off? The brutal REALITY no one in Israel seems capable of facing is there are very real LIMITS on the amount of force Israel can use before it becomes very counterproductive and cause Israel more harm than good. So when will Israelis stop their delusions and actually plan for the future that is rushing at it?

Abbas is a figurehead with no hope. Netanyahu offers perpetual servitude without representation or self-determination for Palestinians. Time to turn in the keys and apply for citizenship and equal legal right as an Israeli. Netanyahu will say no, but offers no viable alternative.

Oh, nonsense! There is a very viable alternative. We will ship these subhuman Arab creatures from the Jewish State and give them every opportunity to build something lasting and viable in Gaza. And then, once they have finished killing off one another, Israel will take Gaza back. It belongs to us, anyway. And the Arabs haven't exactly offered good stewardship, have they? When are you going to learn that these primitive Arabs are incapable of acting like human beings. Israel has certainly offered them every opportunity. Well, we're done trying. They just aren't high enough on the evolutionary scale. When they stop chattering and snuffing and learn to walk upright, we'll revisit the issue. For now -- treat them like the wild beasts they are. Send them to Gaza to live among the rest of the wild beasts. Check back in a few thousand years. Don't know about Europe or the United States, but Israel will still be here.
