1. He should be more discreet
Naomi   (11.19.14)
Instead of going around dressed in religious garb, flaunting this life style and being openly religious he should keep his religious activities confined to the privacy of his own house.
2. Horrible, but correction:
LC ,   Brooklyn, NY   (11.19.14)
The picture that reads "To 8 Avenue & Brooklyn" actually shows the L train platform to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This attack occurred at the outdoor, elevated Marcy Ave JMZ train platform.

Firstly, how do you know what he was wearing? The article does not comment on his attire. Secondly, he should be able to wear what he wants, so long as he stays within his host conuntry's decency expectations. If he wanted to go around wrapped in his prayer shawl and sporting a fluorsecent kippah with a flashing Magen David on top, he should be able to do so without racists attacking him. While I don't know (or care) where you live, Moslems in the UK commonly dress like they've just stepped off the plane from Pakistan, and besides the usual headscarves, many muslim women are opting for the full veil and black ankle length garment - that clothing choice does not give anyone the right to attack them! What you're effectively saying is, he should look 'less Jewish' ....would you also tell a black man he should look 'less black'? The problem does not lie with the poor victiim. It lies with his nasty, racist attacker.
4. 1 Naomi: If one is ashamed of the garments of Elohim, then
Rivkah   (11.19.14)
Elohim will be ashamed of him/her. It takes great courage to dress as Elohim wants His people to dress: modestly, with the tzitzit of personal righteousness making the garment a prayer tent. I, too, have been attacked and nearly killed by Lemoore, California, policeman Jason Cody who bashed my head against the cement trying to kill me after flipping me in a cartwheel when I opened the door to see what he wanted. I, too, was called a dirty Jew. What was my crime? I wore Jewish jewelry that signified who and what I am. That inflames Satan's hatred of Elohim in a person. Pity the attackers who will not enter the eternal kingdom if the families invoke Psalms 69 and 109 as I do against people who attack me. What does that mean? It means I can ask and expect the request to be approved as it was for King David, that the names of enemies be blotted out of the eternal book of life AND ALL of their descendants forever. I win. Even slander is the murder of a person's reputation which is the same to Elohim as the murder of the person. Perjury is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (an aspect of the One Father God not a separate God) who is the witness, so unless Elohim turns such a person over to Satan for the destruction of the physical body, there is no hope for the eternal soul of such a person. I win.

8. Reply to number 1
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (11.20.14)
Should he shave his beard and go bareheaded? Williamsburg New York is a very Jewish area. Should every Jew disguise himself? I suspect this Israeli was speaking Ivrit which may have attracted anti-Israel attention.
9. #4 Rivkah - the Hassidic wear the wrong garment
Tova ,   Canada   (11.20.14)
the attire of the Othordox Community does not represent GOD or Judaism. Elohim did not command black as the attire for men. Elohim did command women the wear wigs. These are man made rules. The Hassidic attire began in 14th century as a way to identify Jews as they were travelling. This eventually became common practice and now the Hassidic community have so many different black attire - that at best the big furry hats - actually make them look arogant - with no respect to GOD. The Hassidic community is no different than Islamic women who cover themselves. This comes not from GOD. This is a sick - man made rule.

If my father of blessed memory was alive today and read your comment, he would describe you as " A Schmuck with earlaps!"
11. Reply to 9 detecting Jews
Akiva ,   NYC   (11.25.14)
In pre-war Germany German Jews were as assimilated as possible, but soon German children were given lessons in how to detect a Jew. There was a entire racial science to prove that Jews were an inferior race. It doesn't matter what we wear. In Victorian Britain it was said of the most assimilated Jews, You can hide your Moses, but you can't hide your noses' !
