1. Yes! Mayor Shimoni
Chana ,   USA   (11.20.14)
Mayor Itamar Shimoni you are taking necessary even if unpleasant steps to protect innocent Israelis who are being specifically targeted by the terrorists. We all know many of whom are employed in Israel. Your actions are not "discrimination" as the murderers and their supporters like to scream. Your actions are the simple application of common sense taking place over dangerous capitulation to PC. It takes strength to use common sense. The only ones being racist are the murderous terrorists and those either malevolent or blind who encourage them. Good for You!

Shimoni's decision was also condemned by the President of the Israel Democracy Institute, former Kadima MK Yohanan Plesner. A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.20.14)
"Israel's Equal Opportunities Act states that an employer may not discriminate between employees on grounds of religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and more when it comes to hiring, working conditions and so on." Mayor Shimoni's act is illegal. The government should immediately press charges against him. He is only exacerbating the situation.

13. when will we bear reading about primeminister Itmar Shimoni
zionist forever   (11.20.14)
We need men like this running the country not just Ashkelon. I am not a parent but I know if I was I would not want arabs anywhere near my children, some things you don't take chances with. Its a shame there are not more men like this in politics willing to take the non politically correct decisions. I just hope he gets to follow this through and the terrorist appologisers in Meretz & the other politically correct MKS don't strike it down.
14. Maybe racist, but I bet no terror attacks
Joshua ,   Jerusalem   (11.20.14)
Maybe an illegal move, and maybe racist, but I bet there will not be a single terror attack in Ashkelon, if the city has no arabs working and living in the city. Just the truth
