1. Why do you call them 'fabled' ??? ,...
split ,   US   (11.30.14)
What other fabled combat unit did they fought and came victorious to deserve this name? The one I remember is the big time whooping inflicted by Hezbollah sheepherders in 2006 trying to conquer Bint Jbeil in Lebanon ,...
2. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.30.14)
Still frosts your shorts, doesn't it, that a handful of poorly-armed Jews in the Warsaw ghetto held out longer against the Nazis than the entire Polish "army." You have drunk the Kool Aid. If 2006 was such a massive "victory" for Hezbollah, why does their "leader" live in an underground Fuhrerbunker? Why is Hezbollah getting a massive ass-kicking in Syria? Please do not ever forget that the instant that the State of Israel decides it has had enough of Nasrallah, the entire State of Lebanon will disappear in a giant mushroom cloud? You really are as stupid as your comments. Get over your irrational hatred of Jews and the State of Israel. What do you think will happen to the Polacks in Hamtramck when the Arabs and Moslems take over the State of Michigan? You're a moron. We know it. You no longer need to prove it all the time.
3. To Michael Freund we thank you
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.01.14)
Your dedication and singlemindedness in helping the Kaifeng Community with deep seated Jewish Roots to realise their dreams Michael has help uncover incontrovertible evidence that shows their genuine and authentic link to Judaism We MUST welcome them with open arms to Israel and not put obstacles in their way 歡迎回家 Foon Ying Wui Ga Welcome back home
4. He didn't "uncover" anything
Baruch ,   Kaifeng, PR China   (12.01.14)
唔好謝佢o架! Somehow, I just get the feeling that the Kaifeng Jews don't exactly speak Cantonese. Their missionary handlers from Hong Kong certainly do, though. The establishment of Kaifeng Jewry as a genuine and authentic Jewish community was done centuries ago by Jesuits, who were the first of many over time to document their practices and experiences. All of this is a matter of public record, easily accessible to anyone with a library card. Freund might have helped fulfill their individual dreams, but he certainly didn't discover the community. Full disclosure: I have met one of the boys, and I am close to the family of another.
5. So what do they speak?
Daveed Shachar ,   Dimona Israel   (12.03.14)
First of all, 我们不说中国话!(我們不說中國話!) So please stick to English. Secondly, what do you mean by saying that the Kaifeng Jews don't exactly speak Cantonese? What do you think they speak, and why is it important? If they speak Jin, does that make them more Jewish or less Jewish? And what are you accusing their "Hong Kong handlers" of exactly?
6. #4 Baruch
Tova ,   Canada   (12.04.14)
Yes he did "uncover" many things. Perhaps you are not clear on the meaning of "uncover". Most Jews think that we look alike and many Jews do not know their history or the disapora which happened thousands of years ago. Jews were enslaved by the Roman, Greeks, Persian and so on. These Jews assimilated as slaves in the countries they were forced to live. Over centuries their decendents practices Judiasm. As written in the Bible. GOD will bring forth Jews home from the all nations back to Israel. So to "uncover" is to discover that Jews are living in places where the general population may not know. It's not the physical features that determine who is a Jew. It's believing in the GOD of Israel. We come in many skin colours, facial features. But the heart is same for everyone. Ashkenazi or Shephardic both are equal. White Jews, Black Jews. I think you get the point. Shalom Baruch and maybe one day you will go to Israel and see for yourself.
7. They cant grow a beard, they are not jews, says the Rabanut.
Peter ,   Jerusalem   (12.14.14)
Israel will spare no effort to bring back, and later reject, every single jew worldwide.
