For note: Israeli military ranks parallel Army ranks in all IDF services. Hence an Israeli Captain is equivalent with A US or UK Army Captain, but not a US or Royal Navy Captain. The US and Royal navies use ranks like Ensign and Lieutenant (Leftenant) Junior Grade and Lieutenant Commander which equals an army rank of Major. Commander is equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel, and Captain in the USN and RN is the Army equivalent of full Colonel.
Israel has simplified the rank structures across the services.
