1. Road to perdition
Jacob Edelman ,   New York,USA   (11.27.14)
It seems there are enough people in Israel willing to take the " Road to Perdition" to save jews in their own land! Wake up Israel !
2. Israel becoming more rightist, patriotic. Writing is on wall
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.27.14)
The flurry of bills acknowledging Israel as a Jewish State signals that Israel is becoming more rightist and patriotic. The writing is on the wall. Destructive leftists may be able to temporarily derail our progress, but ultimately a strong and proud Israel is emerging.
3. Israel is the Jewish State
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.27.14)
You will have no problem with the Druze community. They are very loyal Israelis. The only people who will refuse to recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish State will be the Satmer, the Neturei Karta, all Moslems and most Christians. But if they are unwilling to swear loyalty to the Jewish State of Israel, they don't belong in Israel in the first place. That includes Israeli lefties, as well. When people serve in government in the United States they take an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to protect the people of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Not even Jehovah's Witnesses are exempt from taking this oath, which may be why they are not well represented in public office. Whatever. Israel does not have a Constitution, but it does have a Declaration of Independence, in which the State of Israel is clearly identified as the homeland of the Jewish people -- and a Jewish State. Those who are not willing to swear loyalty to the State of Israel, and openly articulate an acknowledgement that the State of Israel is indeed the Jewish State, have no business living in Israel. Whatever their objections, if they cannot take an oath of loyalty to the Jewish State of Israel, they belong somewhere else.
4. IF MKS CAN NOT BE LOYAL
tTEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED OBVIOUS   (11.27.14)
If MKs ,such as the ever un-fragrant Zoabi , can not or will not swear loyalty to the JEWISH State of Israel ,then they know where the door is and they can jolly well sling their hooks.
5. Next. I fear all no-jews will have to make sacrifices to ywh

6. G'd Bless Regev
Temi ,   Israel   (11.27.14)
This is what we need strenght and character. Ever since our three boys our hearts have been broken, nothing will ever cure our sadness over past tragedies but her bill gives us hope for new generation of decent Israeli's
7. Smart
joseph ,   Rogaland   (11.27.14)
A smart move indeed.
8. So it is a Jewish State? What happened? Will this bill
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.27.14)
include anti Jewish MKs like Lapid, or will Lapid prefer to leave so that he shouldn't have swear loyalty?
9. To nr. 3.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (11.27.14)
In this case I agree totally with you. Israel also better can prohibit/forbid the evil, bad, criminal and barbaric ideology of "islam" and everything that has to do with it. Also by law and legislation just as every country can do. MAY G.D ALSO BLESS ISRAEL!
10. Well hallelujah... it's about time!!!!
Morti   (11.27.14)
What took so long?
11. Regev is Right
Tova ,   Canada   (11.27.14)
Arabs live well in Israel. The rights are not being denied. It's their loyality to Israel and the Laws. Arabs are protected just like Christians when war happens. The Druze community show their allegence to Israel.
12. ONLY IN ISRAEL
MR CYNIC ,   SAFED CYNIC HOUSE   (11.27.14)
Only in Israel can a hateful enemy of the state hold a prominent position in its Parliament .Truly perverse .
13. how stupid
larry ,   highland park   (11.27.14)
why divide the country, Israel needs its Druse, Christian, and Islamic citizens to be loyal. meaningless bills for loyalty .and Jewish State only offend these citizens. we have internal problems, with the economy, housing and costs. External problems with non citizens. why create internal wars.
14. Sarah #3, the people who will refuse to recognize the State
(11.27.14)
as Jewish even more than those you mentioned are the self-hating Jewish leftists who'll keep fighting it tooth and nail.
15. Put it on national and international TV ...
Beary White ,   Norway   (11.27.14)
.. when Hanin Zoabi, swears loyalty :-) She will never do that, and then it is time to kick her to the strip..
16. This is an excellent idea and only right.
Jerusalem   (11.28.14)
Islamist have already turned back from their faith (Sura 5 54-56). The people God/ Allah is to produce encompasses Muslims and in the "Jewish" Israeli Knesset whose purpose should be righteousness (Sura 5:69). The Apostle needs to find the Levi to go live.
17. usa also requires a loyalty oath for all officials
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (11.28.14)
Must swear to defend the State against all enemies "foreign and domestic". Israel is already defined as Jewish State in its declaration of independence. Nothing undemocratic about a USA style loyalty oath like that. That's all you need to throw Zoabi and her ilk out on their asses. Swear loyalty to the State, or no Knesset seat. No government jobs or teaching jobs either.
18. Yes Chaim @ #2 and 8
Israeli 2   (11.28.14)
I concur with both of your posts. Well said. I hope Lapid and Livni will just disappear with the rest of their Lefty cohorts.
