1. They are not smoke trails
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.08.14)
They are vapor trails. Good going, IAF. Bet Fat Boy Nasrallah is REALLY gnashing his ugly yellow teeth. Israel did not coordinate the attack with anyone. All made in Israel -- conceived in Israel, carried out by Israel and, I am pleased to report, all Israeli planes returned safely to base. Think Israel isn't watching? Think again. We are ALWAYS watching. This makes, by my count, the eighth attempt to ship arms to Hezbollah that Israel has thwarted in the past two years. Eight attempts; eight thwarts. It is always a great thing to be Jewish. Some days are better than others. Russia humiliated, Syria embarrassed and Hezbollah left with nothing. I call that a win, win, win.
2. Kol Hakavod, IAF, intelligence services, Bibi, Ya'alon
CJK   (12.08.14)
it takes a team to win, and israel has an excellent team.
3. big bang

I must say that had the planes hit a store of anti-aircraft missiles I would have expected bigger bangs, much bigger bangs. Also surprised there were no casualties reported. If that's true it does suggest a missed target, It's still a mystery why Russia is supplying anti-aircraft missiles to Assad. Against whom would he use them?
4. Putin will be responsible for a regional war
CJK   (12.08.14)
putin has been helping the shia terror regime with its nuclear weapons program. putin has also been helping iran's terror proxies with advanced weapons, including missiles, and first rate intelligence. putin is directly responsible for the deaths of israeli soldiers during lebanon war ii by supplying intelligence collected at its large intelligence post at tel al-hara close to the syrian israeli border. putin fails to understand that the sunnis will not let assad stay in power, however long they must fight. he also fails to understand that israel cannot live with a nuclear iran. ironically, obama also fails to understand that a nuclear iran is considered by israel to be an existential threat.
5. Those vapour trails started off as ice trails...

considering the speed at which the wings were moving through the air...
6. # 1 Sarah It's a great day for Israel !!!
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (12.08.14)
Thank you, well said. as always.
7. so far... no one has definitively confirmed that...
Rafi ,   US   (12.08.14)
a) the strike fully hit all its intended targets; b) that Israeli jets were in fact the aircraft involved.
8. RUSSIA WANTS AN EXPLANATION
Brant ,   Hilton Head USA   (12.08.14)
Here it is: Don't give anything to Syria or through them Hizb Allah, unless you want to see it destroyed. Israel knows it can count on you for nothing at the UN, in the Security Council or in the Quartet and so this what the policy will be
9. Moscow "demands?"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.08.14)
Israel doesn't care. We have some demands of our own with respect to Russian support of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah. But it doesn't matter. Israel will continue to interdict all attempted shipments of arms to Hezbollah. We really don't care whose air space we traverse or whose warehouses we blow up and which country's weapons we destroy. Don't like it? Do something about it. Watch what happens when you try. (As a historical note, please keep in mind that Russia has never, ever won a war that wasn't fought on Russian soil. Remember the ass-kicking the Soviet Union received in Afghanistan? Think Russia stands a chance against Israel? Israel is not Afghanistan. Nor is Israel the Ukraine. So let Putin sputter away. Israel is not intimidated by Russia. Russia, on the other hand, needs to be very wary of Israel.)

It is always good that Israel does this under the radar and denies their part...Keep it quiet There are too many scumbags left in the world

of course its good news however, how many transfers have been successful ?
12. "islam" "hezbollah" and Israel
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (12.08.14)
As "hezbollah" is a thread/danger to Israel, Israel has the fullest right to destroy it, to serve, to protect and to defend the population/people of Israel. The same goes, for example, for "islam" "hamas"", "islam" "islamic jihad and so on. ALSO PEACE AND SECURITY FOR ISRAEL/ THE JEWISH AND ISRAELI PEOPLE!
13. Putin, hope you got paid in advance

There have been no successful transfers since 2010. Israel has gone pretty far afield to ensure that. Sudan (twice) .... Bandar Abbas (twice) .... the Red Sea ... Lebanon (four times) .... Syria (three times). Eight in the past two years alone. And don't forget the Trojan Horse drone that Israel deliberately dropped in Lebanon. Hezbollah promptly took it to their largest missile storage facility -- where it promptly blew up.

Pinpoint precision bombing by a foreign air force squadron that was not detected by radar at all and which was only detected when climbing to bombing altitude. What other country could it be?

a petard foisting is approaching and the mere humans in Israel will still think it's human ability rather than the sovereign One.
