1. BB just transferred millions for the settlers
Miriam   (12.16.14)
Seems to have forgotten the rest of the country, as long as the settlers are living the life of Riley.
2. Yo Ho ! The 1.6 million paupers
Sagi   (12.16.14)
vote for, and put into power, the 120 freeloaders who live on salaries of 40k per month plus a plethora of lifetime benefits.
3. Poverty and neediness.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (12.16.14)
It is to be hoped, that also poverty in Israel can be solved in a just way, by the Israeli government, parliament and by the Jewish and Israeli people (themselves). MAY G.D ALSO GIVE WISDOM FOR THAT!
4. ISRAEL NEEDS TO STOP SHOWING OFF WITH IT'S MISSIONS OVERSEAS
Jewishness ,   ATLANTA GA USA   (12.16.14)
ISRAEL NEEDS TO STOP SHOWING OFF WITH IT'S "MISSIONS" OVERSEAS AND USE THAT OVERly GENEROUS TACTIC TO better MAINTAIN IT'S OWN poverty flood of 1 out of 5 families in distress. Btw how many below the poverty line are ultras?
5. its a problem that goes back to independence
zionist forever   (12.16.14)
There are plenty of things recent governments on both left and right have contributed to these problems but I think the majority goes back to independence when people worked very hard in nation building and the attitude of work longer and for less has never changed. Things like housing is expensive because all the Jews want to live in the centre & on the coast and land is running out so prices are going up, if they lived all over the country prices would drop nationwide.
6. Most of the included are Arabs but this is not poverty
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (12.16.14)
In Arab communities life is cheaper than in Jewish population therefore the threshold doesn't apply to them but they are still counted as poor.
7. How about cutting the MK's salaries by
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.16.14)

9. 1.6 m,illion starving and living in Poverty
yoel ,   Israel   (12.16.14)
Stop giving 120 ministers incentives and stop them travelling abroad at our expence-maybe the situatiion will improve- Pensioners have been put aside they are also living in poverty!
10. #1 Maybe Israel should cancel the submarine deal
A ,   Belgium   (12.16.14)
with Germany and use the money to build more shopping centers in Tel Aviv and Herziliya, or add more to subsidies for the Haredim who don't work and don't serve their country. Can't let those "settlers" live the life of Riley without having to suffer too, right?
11. make up your mind
(12.16.14)
The 1.6 million are calculated according to income and include three groups: poor people (a minority), parts of the Arab sector and Haredim. Most of the Arabs considered poor are not really poor: much of their income is undeclared while much of the goods and services they use are provided through barter. As for the Haredim, they choose to be poor. As usual, the problem is the hypocritical Left. When they want to attack Netanyahu, they cry crocodile tears for the poor, but when they want to get votes from secular Middle Class, they blast the Haredim for getting too many benefits (because they are poor).
