1. I'm not so sure public should lay blame only on govt -
barbara ,   Haifa   (12.21.14)
I'm thinking that there were a number of factors that prevented this government to do its job. One would lie in the fact that too many cooks spoil the stew; i.e. too many ministers and political parties can never reach agreements. Also, take into account the Israel-Palestinian battlefield. How can you govern a country when you are fighting all the time for its survival ?
2. "We did a lot that wasn't covered by the media"
Arrow ,   IL   (12.21.14)
Cry me a river.. nobody cares what was or was not covered in the media, you egotistical fools and nobody is falling for your lame attempts at passing the buck. What people care about is can they afford food and rent at the end of the month, can they afford to live a decent life, will they ever be able to buy a home, is there any hope for their future besides poverty and dumpster diving to survive? Currently the answer is NO and that is why you have all failed your country.

Only now, after years of mismanagement and "let them eat cake" attitude, do we get a quarter of an apology for having "neglected" the growing social divide. The only reason for this half-baked admission is that for once, Netanyahu is not so sure the people are in the mood for more of him and his corrupt cronies, so suddenly comes "conscience?" Not in 45 years of my own existence here have i heard such bitterness and anger from the citizenry of a country that has been badly let down by one government after another. Throughout the years, Netanyahu never blinked an eyelid at the criticism over the lavish and wasteful lifestyle he and his unpopular wife lived while holocaust victims pick up rotten food from market grounds. This sudden "fit of social conscience" is nothing more than a vote buyer. I am personally sick and tired of the words "we need to....". Not one of them ever come out with HOW they intend to do anything, and the reality is that they never GET to do anything. It's all electoral lying, as usual. Those of us impoverished by Netanyahu's policy of enriching the few by taking from the weakest members of society will be hoping that more Israelis will see through the Likud's obvious attempt to spin us lies and misinformation before an unnecessary election, engineered solely to get Bibi more years as "king." We want raises, pal, not roses!
5. Forgetfulness
Jez ,   Netanya   (12.21.14)
Those who blame others usually fail; Miri take note.!! The Arab world have a tendency to blame everyone else and hence have failed badly in most policty areas over the last 100 years. If the likud forgot about social issues once they will do again. Israel take heed and decide what you want

Five minutes before elections Netanyahu suddenly develops a social conscience ? GET OUT OF HERE...
8. Socio-economic issues
Nadya ,   California, USA   (12.22.14)
Why worry about socio-economic issues, let's spend 13 mil. for a visitor's center on land we don't even own. No matter that a large number of our citizens live in poverty or very close to it.
9. The Likud is looking for excuses
Bruno ,   Haifa   (12.22.14)
The Likud has had their turn at running the country and have clearly failed. Their excuses are irrelevant and their scrabbling around to find someone, anyone to blame, is both pathetic and deeply insulting to the public. It's time to give someone else a chance.
