31. Formulas for peace and prosperity
Wade ,   NYC USA   (12.26.14)
Any sensible Zionist should share Richter's concern about economic boycotts of Israeli exports. These are real dangers. On the other hand, many of us do not think that European hatred of Israel (and Jews) will be lessened by making sweeping concessions to the Palestinian demands. Such concessions will pose grave security risks in Israel. Also- Israel's reputation is additionally damaged by publication of Richter's criticism.
32. Before israel was created. there was peace
BDS   (12.26.14)
in the mid-east. The world would be fine if israel was disbanded..
33. What Aggression By Israel?
emanon ,   USA   (12.26.14)
Do you mean defending themselves? Do you mean engaging in urban expansion on Israeli land? You want examples of aggression, look at the arabs: homicide bombings staged in markets and on buses, launching explosives at schools and hospitals, firebombing a family, slitting the throats of a family while they sleep, killing their own daughters, using their own unwilling people as human shields . . . and the list goes on and on. That's aggression!
34. bennett
rolf   (12.26.14)
yes, i am only a jew in the diaspora, and i do not only mind my own business and i do not shut up. israel is also my business. the attitude, the painful arrogance, the blindness, the lack of realism of bennett, and netanyahu as well, is choking israel. support for israel is visibly slipping and dripping away. quarrel with the USA, neglecting what is happening all over europe. the hard nosiness of israel's leadership is pathetic. and moreover it may be feared that the same, and then more self convinced, leadership will be around after march 17. just because the masses in israel do not have a realistic clue of what is happening.

39. Bennett vs Kobi Richter
Brod ,   USA   (12.27.14)
Bennett is right in defending the Israel from the world of Anti-Semites. Kobi Richter is on the side of the dark forces that are relenting in harassing and attacking Israel. It is time to stop being a tool of external forces that are undermining Israel.

maurice, the level of your comment shows your understanding and intelligence. rosh katan as we say in hebrew. and mau.....do not call a person with an opinion that is not yours an idiot. that disqualifies you.
44. There is no boycott
Mordechai   (12.27.14)
There is no boycott. My European clients are quite happy to have the design work done by me in living in Judea and Samaria. They have no interest in BDS if its going to affect their pocketbook. Every single BDS attempt against Israel has failed in the business world. The only time we hear of it is business people looking to blame their companies failure to compete of BDS vs their own business failings. Listen you are rich so try buying out the 600,000 Jews living in Judea and Samaria. After all the Israeli taxpayer will have to pay for every single settler moving if we give up all the territories. Are you willing to pay all of our homes. Pay for relocating every singe business. Also it will get quite expensive when Ben Gurion shuts down due to missile attacks. I assume you will reimburse everyone in the tourist industry right. How much will you pay the parents of the dead children killed in attacks from Palestine. What would be the compensation you would offer
45. Israel survival
Shalom Ben yoram ,   USA   (12.27.14)
It is never seas to amaze me how stupid the left is. Peace with who? What cost? What will you get in return?look how the US fortunes falls all over the world due to another "brilient" extreme left president. The left are out of ideas and solutions. They must lie to grab power, and when they do they can't govern and everything they touch fall apart. Go away!!!
46. But first prize for them would be wipe out of Jews
Alan ,   SA   (12.27.14)
Sorry to disappoint them!
47.  World can survive without X's innovation
Sidney ,   USA   (12.27.14)
Pointless headline. What the writer, like the whole left, cannot understand is that their is no peace partner. He should read S. Y. Agnon's parable "The Whole Loaf". Like the protagonist who wants the whole loaf and gets nothing, the Palestinians want the destruction of Israel, not a two state compromise. They could have had the latter as early as 1948.
48. Not Convinced
Freddy T ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.05.15)
Richter paints an attractive picture of peace and prosperity. I like both. But I don't see how it will work. The Arabs have to sign on to this plan and a lot of them wouldn't consider it. What areas is Richter giving to the Arabs, and will the Arabs agree it's enough? Richter wants to "End the Occupation" of some place (he doesn't say where) and just hope it brings peace. It could easily bring a larger and more deadly war. Israel de-occupied the Sinai and got a peace treaty that works. But the pullout from Gaza was different, and we got Hamas and more war. But Richter has no plan or analysis for managing the pullout he advocates. How many simultaneous launches does Hamas have to co-ordinate to beat the Israeli anti-missile system? And can Hamas really do this? No hint from Richter.
49. נוגע בדבר
JDK ,   NYC U.S.A.   (01.12.15)
It is obvious that he is not thinking about the best for Israel, but the best for his company. We are talking about survival. Giving away territory so the Europeans and others pat you in the back and buy from you as long as Israel weakens it's position, isn't being smart, it's being blinded by your business needs. The smart thing to do for Israel is to be strong not even talk anymore to terrorists, and expose those that want to boycott us for what they are, appeasers, scared for their lives or scared of losing votes, or because of their interests or their supporters or plain anti-Semites.
50.  World can survive without Israeli innovation
Tobywil ,   USA   (01.12.15)
Kobi Richter is absolutely wrong in his assessment of the situation, it is not the Israeli occupation but being a Jew and not a muslim. What makes him think by appeasing the Palestineans and withdrawing from more and more land that they won't want all the land of Israel? His naive commentary shows just how wrong he is. Did leaving Gush Katif and displacing thousands of Jews bring peace? Gaza is just a hot bed of tunnels and a disaster waiting to happen. Mr Richter maybe you didn't learn the lessons of the WW2, appeasement only whets the appetites of the insatiable terrorists who believe it is their way or die, learn from history or you will fall victim to your own lack of good sense. You are a Jew, or a Christian or an unbeliever, in their mind set you do not have any place in the world that is safe. Every airline has learned this. When will the rest of the world wake up?
51. Kobi Richter on Israeli Innovation
Bernhard ,   Berlin, Germany   (01.20.15)
Kobi, you are only right if Israel in the border lines of 1967 would be part of the NATO. Then, and only then, military attacks against Israel would be difficult to entertain. Without such a safety umbrella the attacks on Israel will only intensify, and it will be much more difficult to defend the country., as Hamas would take over the rule in the West Bank and repeat the same policy as in present Gaza.
