Whatever his achievements as a writer, and they are many, his "achievements" as a serial pervert and as a father and husband who abandoned his wife and child can now be shared by his readers. Our forefathers were mostly polygamous! Much holier men than us had concubines and had more than one wife.
If it weren't for Rabeinu Gerson, ZT"l, we would still probably be a polygamous culture.
