1. Another Idiot on the list of Kulanu
rosie   (01.18.15)
How can someone that had such a high position in the IDF be so stupid. He should know much better. Just shooting his stupid mouth off. He may have a negative impact on Kahlon's mandates.
2. Already doing political spin?
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.18.15)
Whether it was timed for elections or not it was a good decision benefiting all Israelis and Jews worldwide.
3. Koolanu
(01.18.15)
IDF eliminates two generals on the Golan, one from Hezbollah and one from Iran, and what concerns Galant is a cheap attack on Netanyahu? Not what it means that a top Hezbollah combat officer and a Revolutionary Guard general were doing on the Golan on the same day New York Times reports that Obama ordered Democratic Senators to stop sanctions on Iran? Not what effect a Hezbollah / Iran attack on Israel controlled Golan would have? Not how lucky Israel was that the Herzog / Livni plan to surrender Golan to Assad hasn't succeeded? So in one second, Galant managed to look like an idiot and (hopefully) lose some votes for Koolanu that is apparently another vehicle for corrupt politicians to buy themselves a Minister job. As for why Jabari wasn't killed before November 2012. Maybe this should be discussed yes, but instead of slandering IDF, perhaps Israeli leaders (not loser politicians like Galant) knew his death would lead to the war, so they delayed the killing?
4. Stupid comment by Galant
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.18.15)
How on earth could Israel have predicted who would be where, and when. In one swift missile strike, Israel took out several Hezbollah military commanders and the Iranian chief of military operations in Syria. Good intelligence; swift response time and lightening strike accuracy. At a minimum, Galant understands why he was passed over for the top job. He speaks many words, most with a forked tongue -- but he has always lacked the ability to give that key order to strike. That said -- if Israel has been looking for a reason to crush Hezbollah once and for all, Hezbollah just handed it to us on a silver platter. Nasrallah can't let this pass -- but Israel will be waiting.
5. Galant should have kept quiet
C   (01.18.15)
the elimination of abu ali al-tabtabai and of jihad mughniyeh is always a good thing.
6. Galant already cought lying once ..
Ron ,   New York   (01.18.15)
I guess he adapt quickly to the political life... Here is a reason why he was not elected to be the chief of staff
7. He would take his meds
Eli   (01.18.15)
And this guy wants to be in the keneset? Can someone tell him to shut up
8. ALSO WE CAN ASSUME THAT THE HEBDO AND HYPER KACHER
stude ham   (01.18.15)
attacks, by that perverse logic, were also timed to the elections. the opposition parties clearly have nothing but stupidity to offer the Israeli voters.
9. Galant =Mr. big shot
nywoman   (01.18.15)
He is as stupid as anyone can be. And he had a high position in the IDF? He would be better off with his big mouth shut. Blaming Bibi for a military operation because of elections is beyond belief. Maybe Bibi was the cause of the terror attacks in Paris as well because of the elections. A pity that Moshe Kahlon selected such idiots for his list.
10. Timing related to elections
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (01.18.15)
If Galant is right, what a pity that Israel doesn't have elections more often. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
11. galant is wrong
george   (01.18.15)
the idf hits terror operatives whenever it does is ok. If anything bibi is overly cautious;ehud barak would not even do it in his latter days. What galant should say is good work idf and now here are my views on what kulano does to combat all the threats facing the country borders. Livinig in the middle east, israel has to have leaders that know and are willing to fight. Leaders like olmert, peres, peretz were disasters and levi eshkol for all thekind words almost let the country go down until dayan entered the government. it does not mean that the leader has to be a military man or woman. But, he or she must know how to fight whether from martial arts, wrestling, boxing etc or must be willing to engage in war if necessary and sometimes preemptively. herzog is a pacifist, talks like a pacifist, and looks like a pacifist. Livni is willing to fight especially with her fellow jews but not with arabs. It may have to do with her alleged romantic liasons with arabs. Do not vote for herzog and livni under any circumstances. You dislike bibi as I do. Consider bennett who is not radical. Oslo has failed dramatically and rabin was wrong to have taken it up. Livni thinks that if israel follows obama's views, she will be protected. wrong, dead wrong. Even kulano is worthy of consideration since they have general gallant to handle security. Livni and herzog have livni as their security expert. Don't make me throw up.
12. Galant versus Kahlua
zbrk ,   DC - US   (01.19.15)
If Galant is representative of the Kahlua party, they are in serious trouble. Kahalon was a very good Likud minister, but is showing himself to be a lousy judge of political character. His civilian choices don't seem particularly horrible, but Galant is a doozy. The only thing that can save him now is to begin looking into a possible joint list running with Likud.
13. Just one more.
Gabe ,   Canada   (01.19.15)
Conspiracy theorists are a dime a dozen.
