That is not a natural position for the wings of an owl. Plus, this owl had an injured wing. Do you have a small child? Lift up his arms and hold them stretched high and perfectly straight over his head. See how he or she likes it. Why are you deliberately torturing that beautiful, wild creature?

..and for those interested,- the horned owl is the biggest in that owl- family. It can reach a body-length of 65 cm, and a wingspan at 125cm. So it is quite a big-bird, flying silently in the dark.
