1. A lot of pressure from the Obama administration
Zechariah   (01.28.15)
There is a disconnect that I have noticed in the Press in the West .There is Great Sympathy for the Shoah but negative sentiment re Israeli -Arab Wars . Wars starting in Lebanon from 1982 .Indeed It can be understood . There were War Crimes .True the IDF gave Knock on the door warnings and sent Pamphlets warning hundreds of thousands to flee.Nevertheless Mistakes were made some in panic . So theArgentinian government plays a double game and there has to be Pressure .The attack and killing and Wounding of Many Jews in 1994 was condemned by the Press .Israel has to develop ways of targeting Jihadi and Fatah Ba'ath Militants and lessen greatly civilian deaths .It is not easy they are used as shields .But Grave Errors occur .
2. The sad part is
(01.28.15)
that the only thing these old folks remember about Judaism is Yizkor. If you notice, there are no young attending ceremony. Who knows what they look like and if there's anything Jewish left on them.
3. #2, This is secular ceremony by secular people.
Michael ,   California, USA   (01.28.15)
They are not in a synagogue and if they listen to a prayer it is without religious sentiments. The sentiments are secular and very meaningful, as it should be.
4. And here in Newcastle.
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (01.28.15)
Our Israel-hating Labour council felt the city's Holocaust Day events should be organised by an Israel-hating Labour councillor who has turned up as a trouble maker in Israel and Judea and Samaria. Consequentially, the events were largely shunned by the Jewish community. There are many more Muslim voters than Jewish voters in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is the reality of Britain,2015. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
