1. Not good enough
A ,   Belgium   (01.29.15)
All Israelis should stop paying their elelctric bills in protest. Why should they have their power shut off for non payment while the "parasitians" get off with a minor slap on the hand when they don't pay? No electricity to gaza or arab occupied Judea and Samaria until all debts are paid off.
2. Power to Arabs will be cut for 2 hours because of HUGE debt
Danny   (01.29.15)
but power for Jews are cut off completely forever until they pay. If Israel would have the courage to treat Arabs the way they should instead of appeasing them and shutting an eye, there would be peace and quiet in Israel.
3. solution to Debt Is How Hamas Spends Its Money
emanon ,   USA   (01.29.15)
If they wouldn't spend so much money on bullets, bombs and bullshit, they would have money to keep the lights on, feed their people, build hospitals, educate their people properly, build decent housing . . . Oh wait, there go their reasons to hate Israel.
4. Strange they have plenty of money for rockets and missiles

7. israelis pay hight bills to subsidise arab debt
zionist forever   (01.29.15)
Since oslo every single government has turned a blind eye to the fact the arabs think they have a right to free electric. Huge debts build up and IEC can't continue loosing money so the only solution is to increase electric prices for Israelis who must pay their bills. The government should take that PA tax money being withheld and give it to IEC and long term Egypt or Jordan should take responsibility for proving electricty

They use electricity to light up the tunnels so IEC is helping to finance the tunnel building.

10. Offset against tax receipts
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (01.29.15)
I seem to remember that Israel is withholding tax receipts that it collects on behalf of the PA and it's a considerable amount every month. It doesn't seem a difficult task to divert that money to the IEC against unpaid electricity bills. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!

13. SO? WHAT DOES THE PA/HAMAS DO WITH ALL THE 6 BILLION IN AID?
Zionman & Zionese ,   ATLANTA GA USA   (02.04.15)
SORRY, NO MONEY LEFT FOR FOOD, CLOTHING HEAT SHELTER AND WATER FOR THE POPULATION...IT ALL GOES/WENT FOR "SALARIES" TO FATAH AND HAMAS, to make 1200 new gaza millionaires RICHER in 2014...who is in charge of the funds, the THREE arab STOOGES or the 4 arab MARX BROTHERS...?? this IS tragedy, IT is NOT funny, it's no comedy, it's a TYPICAL ARAB human disaster of THE USUAL unbounded greed, gov't "gimmees" selfishnjavascript: save()ess and outright THEFT OF GOV'T FUNDS and ALLOWED BY THOSE THAT RUN THE GOV'T (WHAT LITTLE gov't THERE IS) THAT'S JUST THE USA 4 BILLION, what about Israeli gifts of huge $$ extorted funds, THE EU's billions and whatever became of the muslim brothers donated billions?
14. Power cuts to PA
Susette ,   New Zealand   (02.11.15)
How did the electricity debt reach this magnitude? Had supplies been reduced long ago when the outstanding payment was more do-able this current predicament would not have arisen. The PA have the funds. They just get siphoned off through corruption, that's all. It looks like mismanagement on the part of Israel Electricity. No other viable company would extend credit this long!!!!
