3. Netanyahu's maneuvering during past years is a masterpiece:
(02.02.15)
a stroke of genius.Having to deal with a hostile Obama, Leftist Lunatics at home, religious lunatics at home, Sara at home, financial instability world over, chopped off heads, Europe's disintegration/regression into Middle Ages and all you local idiots can do is kvetch about cheaper Milky in Berlin/inability to purchase a Penthouse on Rothschild Blvd.??!! Get some sense into your tiny brains people!
4. Are you kidding?
JVC ,   LA, USA   (02.02.15)
Of course we hit them. WTF? Not enough to destroy the organization but as a constant irritant in their back, A slow, steady trickle of dead Hizbollah will keep them off balance, second guessing their rear flank & weaken the organization to the point of not being able to attack Israel. Period. This article carries with it almost a connotation that we have some sort of implicit duty to assist the Hez as if, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," like the Hez are our good 'ole shia haters, been dealing with these guys since 1982! We're 'ole buddies now, nothing so horrible as those Sunni guys. Oh, those Sunni guys are the worst. Gimme a break!
5. Failed Obama Policy of hands off
Ron ,   New York   (02.02.15)
You eradicate cancer at the root as soon as you identify it before it spread all over. Now you see ISIS all over. This narrative of let them fight among themselves is naïve. One will become stronger, more experience and bigger. There after they will focus their hate and energy to west. Shut them down now when they are weak. Take advantage of their current position. But for that you need courage and leadership which we don't have. It does not fit Obama narrative and dream of bringing peace to Arabs.
6. Not true...Israel should seize the opportunity
Isaac Hay ,   Greece   (02.02.15)
IS didn't shot a single bullet on Israel and we all know that IS won't sustain bcoz US and its allies taking care of it in Syria and Iraq. This is a unique opportunity for Israel to eliminate hizbullah who caused so many casualties against Israel soldiers in past and present and I think at some point if Israel didn't act now hizbullah will become a big monster and will subject a great threat to the existence of Israel...
7. Shia terror entity & Hezbollah want to annihilate Israel
C   (02.02.15)
the shia terror entity is developing nuclear weapons so as to annhilate israel. that is israel's first priority.
8. 3 dimensions
Bob   (02.02.15)
It's not just 2 dimensions (sunnis vs Shiites) . There is hezbollah vs isis. Then there is the coalition (Sunni states and US and FSA) who in reality is vs both hezbollah and isis. If Israel enters the war it would side with the coalition.
9. perhaps... but all bad actors must stay away from Isr border
Rafi ,   US   (02.02.15)
10. SuniShiaSuniShmia when they finish with each other, they will
Alan ,   SA   (02.02.15)
forever have a burning desire to exterminate world Jews (Argentina, Bulgaria and many failed attempts!)and exterminate Israel It says they must in Hadith and in Kor an . They see this kind of thinking as a Hudna A temporary half-time interval while they regroup etc What to do -I dunno
11. Thank you ynet

Thank you yediot expert-schmeckspert
12. Best article - right approach
Avi L.   (02.02.15)
Finally a well thought article, not the usual "let's use more bombs" or the "be kind let's talk" we get used to hear from too many of our leaders . But instead of sending soothing messages to that snake of Nasrallah/Khamenei, let's threaten them to unleash Sunnis. No Geneva agreement, no red cross or crescent, no CNN, no photo ops with willing pseudo-journalists, just old plain bloody tribal warfare. They will get the message. Their ears are better tuned to threat and strength, and coming from the Yahudi they will better get the message. They are a piece of a domino play, Assad, Hezballah, Khamenei. Thanks Guy
13. On the bright side ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.02.15)
if the Shia and the Sunni don't kill themselves off fast enough to suit Israel, we do have a nuclear option which can be utilized to great effect. It's not exactly as if anyone would miss rabid Moslems, you know? And I include Hamas, Iran -- the whole Mideast. So, a few Christians might die, particularly in Lebanon. Oh well. Cost of doing business in a Moslem country and not having the intestinal fortitude to cut Hezbollah off at the knees. That's okay. We'll probably end up doing your dirty work for you, anyway. One of these days, Israel will stop yanking everyone's chestnuts out of the coals, and will do only that which is good for the State of Israel and for the Jewish people. We're covered on that front. Everyone else? Not so much.
14. Bechor is so wrong
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (02.02.15)
Hezbollah has thousands of missiles. ISIS does not. Hezbollah backed by Iranian weapons is the greatest threat facing Israel. We should hope that ISIS finishes off Hezbollah.
15. Israel should intervene
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.02.15)
During the civil war in Lebanon the Syrian regime had no interest in either side gaining the upper hand. Whenever the Muslim/Arafat side looked close to victory Syria lent its support to the Christian side and when Christians seem to overwhelm the Muslims the Syrians supported the Muslims. This way Syria made sure that Lebanon was being gradually destroyed and number of dead reached 250.000 which has been devastating for a population of 4 million. Israel should do the same and slow down whoever is the stronger side in the Syrian conflict, going back and forth, until millions of Muslims are dead and Syria/Hezbollah/Al Nusra/islamic State will never again pose a threat.
16. Iran occupies Baluchistan, Kurdistan, Khuzestan, Azaria
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.02.15)
17. You err -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (02.02.15)
I Quote - the last thing Hezbollah needs right now is a conflict with Israel. Comment - Right time then to destroy Hizbollah !. Arn.Sweden.
18. the big picture
(02.02.15)
The war between ISIS and Hezbollah is a minor proxy war and isn't what matters to Israel. Thanks to Obama Israel is in great danger. Through Hezbollah, Iran has deployed almost limitless rocket artillery in Lebanon. Obama allowed (or helped, depending who you ask) Iran take over Yemen. This means Iran can close Israel's trade routes to Asia In the last war, by saving Hamas Obama made it clear he will not let Israel defeat threatening Arab forces. Now, Obama is doing his best to install Herzog as PM so that Israel will surrender Judea and Samaria. Israel will then be impossible to defend
19. Hezbullah
Susan Adelman ,   Southfield MI USA   (02.02.15)
This column is spot on. Through working with the Lebanese community in Dearborn Michigan for 30 years, I can tell you that they truly want peace between Lebanon and Israel. What they need is a way to save face with all the Iranian pressure on them.
20. Let Hamas destroy Abbas and Fatah too
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.03.15)
Bechor is correct, of course. This applies to ALL Israel's foes. Israel should end the lunatic policy of protecting Abbas and Fatah. Let Hamas destroy them.
