As a mother of a soldier i am disgusted by these holy draft dodgers. In case they havent heard there is a system of law in this country that applies to everyone, they are not above the law and neither is their blood more precious than ours. I am a Charedie. One of my son-in-laws, who is a also a Charedie Chabadnik, servedd in the army after he was married and had one child. He served for 3 years, and served in the intelligience dept. His commanding officer asked all soldiers towards the end of their service to say and write a written request if they would like to continue to serve in the army for pay. My son-in-law requested to stay on, and receive a salary. However, when it was nearly time for him to be discharged, my son-in-law asked if he was going to be able to continue working for the army. His commanding officer told him that there were not enough funds available to keep him! Then my son-in-law decided that he would appy for jobs in the work force in the field that he had learned-mapping. NO ONE would hire him since he is Chareidi! Can you imagine! He had no choice but to go back to Kollel and earn less than minimum wage in Kollel! Is this equality, or hypocracy!?
