The ship was named after this former Nazi not c'hristened' as Associated Press states. christening is a Christian ceremony denoting someone named during the baptism as the baby or adult is thus welcomed into the church. It is interesting to see how Christianity has influenced daily language, as has Judaism of course. However, the difference is that Jews have done and still do immense good in the world whereas Christianity has persecuted and murdered millions in centuries-old crusade to turn the world Christian.
Ironically, this story of re-naming a ship was carried in an Israel paper.
