1. Mis-reading of Danish politics and society
Ziggy F ,   NC, USA   (02.23.15)
How Yossi Shain manages to extrapolate from a few interactions on a short trip into a whole mapping of Danish political attitudes to Jews is beyond me. Perhaps it might have done Yossi some good to actually read the societal and political response in the aftermath of the attacks in Denmark. I have yet to see any efforts - across the political spectrum - to tie the attacks to Israel or the Jews or justify them in any way. Massive solidarity across the political spectrum has in fact been mobilized to stand up for the Jewish minority in Denmark and ensure that they are safe. More educated and nuanced analysis please, after all you are a political scientist, so careful, and systematically collected evidence should matter, no?
2. Denmarl controls Greenland - colonialism?
Bob K ,   Orlando FL USA   (02.23.15)
Ironic that Danes are so upset by Israeli 'colonialism' i.e. Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel where Jews have lived continually for over 3000 years. Are Danes upset by Danish colonialism in Greenland - far from Denmark and having no natural connection with Denmark? Now after the Danish invasion of Greenland, the people there are totally dependent on aid from Denmark. The Danes, Swedes and Norwegians should quit the holier than thou garbage and deal with the Islamist threat they have imported to the detriment of future generations. Europe is trading its highly productive and peaceful Jewish population for a much larger Moslem one which contains a great threat to Europe's future. North Africa will be the launch pad of rockets into Europe one day.
3. Denmark
Brod ,   USA   (02.23.15)
Denmark is an Anti-Semite country just like all the other EU Islamist-dominated countries.
4. The author writes
John Robey ,   Austin, Texas   (02.23.15)
"Why is Denmark, which is experiencing an internal Islamist threat, diverting the discussion towards the "Israeli occupation"? Well maybe because the Israeli occupation causes internal Islamist threats in Denmark. That wasn't too hard now, even for an Israeli was it?
5. Completely agree, and the rotten thing.
Beary White ,   Norway   (02.23.15)
.. are the islamic immigrants who has teamed up with the leftist. Then, it has become politically correct to abuse Israel. This is the result in ANY western countries which are being infected.
6. You'd think if not for Moses and George Washington...

Kol hakavod! Isaiah 52: Lemaan Zion lo echeshe!!! For Zion's sake I will not keep quiet. May the G'd of Israel who brings His people back to His Land bless, keep and protect you - and give you more opportunities to speak up in righteousness.
8. I invited G-d of Israel
(02.23.15)
I invited G-d of Israel to my dissertation and He came and gave me a better name. True!
9. Co-Users or Miss-Users?
co-users   (02.23.15)
The Palestinians and many Arab migrants had a chance to be decent co-users of the land. Their many sets of failed and corrupted leaders acted like the Putins. To bad, because of those sins, many ordinary Palestinians and Israelis paid with their lives.
10. Israeli policies...
Shootingsparks ,   San Francisco USA   (02.23.15)
The hosts made it clear that Israeli policies are causing difficulties for Dutch Jews who unfairly get painted with the crimes of the Jewish state. That the author cannot see this is the rub....
11. Danes will remain clueless because their media lie to them.
(02.23.15)
Same situation all over Western Europe. The symbiotic "coexistence" along Islamic hordes in their midst, will in the end exterminate the "host". Still, with their dying breath, the Euro-imbeciles will blame "the Jew"...like the proverbial scorpion: it's in their "nature"!
12. 65years
farrokh ,   iran usa   (02.23.15)
65 years of killing and misplacing and taking land and home of unarm plasteinan will have long coming of the same thing to your peoples.
13. Something Rotten
Al ,   Us   (02.23.15)
It appears to most fair minded people around the world that something rotten is going on in Israel. The Palestinian trajedy has been the grievest injustice since the holocost and it is perpetrated by Israel and is continuing every day, dehumanizing the Palestinians confiscating their land and killing more than 100,000 innocent civilians. Jewish extremists violence long preceded Islamic extremists. May be the writer need little education on what Israel has done to the Palestinians.
14. Like father like son ,...
split ,   US   (02.23.15)
"I added that I was very proud of my son, who grew up in the United States, for choosing to come to Israel and serve in the IDF" - Your son, who grew up and was educated in US choose IDF instead US Armed Forces? Another misguided loyalty case and proud of it, some things simply you don't get it and never will ,... You don't have to lecture the Danes' or anyone on the failure to understand the threats in our region we all have an access to internet and watched you in real time picnicking on the hills during the so called operation protective edge and cheering every blast in Gaza ,...
15. israeli at best are blind to the crimes of occupation
JRS   (02.23.15)
Arrogant to the point they believe they are infallible.
16. "diverting"?
Albrecht ,   EU   (02.23.15)
They disscus both: islamist terrorism and israeli occupation because both are criminal.
17. answer to question
(02.23.15)
"Why is a country which is experiencing an internal Islamist threat diverting the discussion towards 'Israeli occupation" The Left in Europe is a religious belief of "multiculti" that all cultures are the same. They see that Western Judeo-Christian cultures are successful, and attribute this not to hard work but to "colonialism" and "patriarchal rape" of other cultures. This religious belief led to a demand for unlimited Islamic immigration to Denmark without integration, even though this ignores that Islam is the most colonialist, expansionist and patriarchal culture. Like any fanatic religious believer, when the result of their faith start crashing down, they do not reject their faith but look for someone else to attack. In this case, Israel is the best victim: Western, successful and too weak to be a threat.
18. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.23.15)
Why is the United States occupying Okinawa? Why is the United States occupying Germany? Or exactly what do you think Fort Buckner and Ramstein Air Force Base are? Oh, I get it! The United States won the war. So if Fort Buckner takes up ninety percent of Okinawa, that's perfectly okay. Sovereign United States soil. Same deal with Ramstein. Well, that was ONE war. Israel was attacked on six occasions, and won all six wars. The only illegal occupiers happen to be Arabs. We're going to set that right really soon now.
19. split: a lesson in American Freedom
jd   (02.23.15)
You may have missed this during your naturalization orientation: people are free to leave the US anytime. They do not owe an explanation to anyone. There is nothing more quintessentially American than that. From an American point of view, once they are gone, go serve in whatever army or twiddle their thumbs. If they come back to US to visit, they do not have to hide that fact either. What they cannot do is serve as enemy combatants. You are allowed to leave too.
20. #19 split: a lesson in reality
solomon ,   bklyn   (02.24.15)
We all have seen the videos of arabs celebrating and giving out sweets on 9/11, when the three Israeli boys were kidnapped, when they were found dead, etc. We know you live in a fantasy land. The rest of us do not. No apologies.
21. jd @ 19 ,...
split   (02.23.15)
There're over 70 million of ethnic Germans in US, 56 million of ethnic Irish, 17 million ethnic Italians, 12 million ethnic Poles and few other minorities they don't serve in foreign armies as a matter of fact you don't even know that they exist except once a year during October Festivities or St. Patrick, Columbus and Pulaski days, for the rest of the year they blend in are an Americans first and serve in US Armed Forces ,... You're another example that you folks simply don't get it and never will ,...
22. Pin Head Split's Foreign Armies
Claude ,   UK and Cape Town   (02.24.15)
Report on RT that US citizens of Ukrainian origin are fighting for Ukrainian army. Of course who trusts Putin TV. 2 Years ago Times of India reported how US citizens of Indian Origin were working with Indian defence forces, mainly in IT and logistics design. It was featured on a BBC Asia Today Programme. But no one believes the BBC either. Now I wonder if Putin were to seriously threaten Poland or the Baltic States how many US citizens with family backgrounds from these countries would be inspired to help them. By the way African Americans proudly parade their African heritage every day and so they should do across all the USA. Loudly and Proudly just like US American Jews can take pride in US and IL.
23. Europe does not give a damn about palestinians
Jerome ,   AKL   (02.25.15)
They use palestinians to justify their antisemitism. When Jews were living among them their hatred was directed to their Jewish neighbours. When Jews left and created their own Jewish State, the same hatred remained and is now directed at Israel. The fakestinians are just an instrument to justify their hatred toward Jews and Judaism. Today I visited a low life goy cobler to repair heels on women shoes. He went on about the Rothschilds selling their English shares to make it look like Napoleon is winning the battle only to buy them back for peanuts when he lost. But is this what every savvy investor will do? No he is a Jew- the rules are different. In each European you'll find my cobbler's mindset.
