1. The same problem
Sagi   (02.28.15)
existed with the Moroccan immigrants in the 1950's. The exact same cultural gap, it took many years for them to become integrated, but the third generation is by now a different story altogether, they are Israelis of Moroccan descent. This will also happen to the Ethiopians. The only group that will never ever integrate, simply because they do not wish to, is the ultra orthodox, from all backgrounds. They are separate, they wish to be separate and they shall remain so. By design they have chosen to be different and they pass this wish on to each generation. It is very sad.
2. Dude needs to make a choice: Integration or diversity?
Peter ,   Jerusalem   (02.28.15)
Only way to integrate in Israel is to be culturally israeli, without any "cultural diversity" added to the mix, it just causes a culture shock. The ethiopians will become israelies once they naturally refer to themselves as such and forget their past. This is impossible for immigrants but rather easy for their children, if born in Israel.
3. Learning Hebrew well will solve most of their problems

Î m an immigrant from france î made Alyah one year ago even if î know the israeli society and mentality i wil never be israeli î love the country the culture but î can ´t change my mentality at 42 years old but î hope my children will be israelis even if i want them to keep the language of their parents and to be proud about their roots for' the the ethiopian it is the same the children are israelis but the israeli society is not enough open to the ethiopians more than that some israelis are openly racist
