The Americans elected - and re-elected a man with his head in the clouds, filled with the idealism of someone more than half his age, who never got over his student years of "make love not war." Any level-headed American will know that Iran is not only going to make war with Israel, it will be with the whole western world, American being at the top of the list. Masters of deception (taqiyyeh) they are talking willingness to submit to restrictions, whilst continuing with their nuclear plans to turn their nuclear capability into weapons. It is not Israel which needs to put a stop to Obama's plans, but Americans. Instead of issuing this ridiculously and foolish invitation the way they did, the Republicans should themselves have been doing the homework and presenting it to Congress in order to lure away the support for Obama's suicide mission. The problem here is that Netanyahu's actions have clouded the entire issue. What bothers Americans - and those of us who know that we need America- is that he has so arrogantly and rudely side-stepped diplomatic protocol and got their hackles up. These two leaders hate each other because they are so similar: arrogant, smug and short-sighted. As diplomats, however, the constant goading of each other has crossed the line of acceptable behavior on the world stage and both peoples should be looking to alternative management.
