DT ,   Ta Israel   (03.03.15)
proves he is a giant success. Try as you might you won't destroy Israel
4. Bibi must go now before he can do more damage.......
Oliver ,   Eilat   (03.03.15)
5. the prime minister
stanley milner ,   tel aviv   (03.03.15)
i agree with all that was written and think the pm is using it as an excuse because he has not done anything constructive as pm
6. Netanyahu before Aipac and Congress
Ron Levin ,   San Diego,USA   (03.03.15)
Simon Shiffer expresses an opinion, just an opinion. His contempt of Bibi is at the crux of all he writes. He is wrong on all accounts. Obama is a foreign [and domestic]policy disaster for the U S and the free world.Iran,Crimea,ISIS all connected and a consequence of a weak President. Tzipi is a meglomaniac,a delusional one, and Bugi is not a strong leader.
7. Shiffer and Moni have not surprised me
Zev ,   Israel   (03.03.15)
Anything goes for them when it comes to Bibi bashing. They are willing to harm the country and ignore certain facts all for their agenda of putting the left back in power.
8. Shame on ynet
Albert ,   Uk   (03.03.15)
Continually bashing your prime minister, even if it means putting the state of israel at risk through a nuclear Iran. I can tell you this- he makes a damn good impression in the u.k- more than get be said about your lapid jerks and co
9. colossal failure?
BAB ,   Jerusalem   (03.03.15)
Poor choice of headlining Shimon Shiffer's op-ed. His opinion is certainly worthy, as is Nahum Barnea"s, but placing him in the "in your face" heading in the English version of ynet news just falls into the hands of Bibi who accused (justly or not) Noni Mozes' campaign against him. What more evidence does Bibi need now? Today's Hebrew version highlights Obama"s commitment to a nuclear-free Iran. Please, Ynet editors, it's time to be more subtle, and I dare say, smart. Happy Purim.
10. Stupid Shiffer's colossal failure as an one sided columnis
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.03.15)
11. Dagan the Tough Mossad exLeader Last Resort
Zechariah   (03.03.15)
Meir Dagan stated an attack on Iran would be a last resort for Israel as it would lead to a massive war .Even a Mega Convential attack would cause only few years damage and Violent Chaos .Severe Economic sanctions are better at least initially as Iran has a huge population.Russia does not want a Nuclear Iran with its Islamic Population and Islamic states close . Neither China .Islamic Jihadi are close .Tibet could go in an alliance with Islam its Religion has Flexibility and Ba'ath Syria is with Shia jihadi .
12. How much did they pay you to write this ?
michel ,   Ashkelon   (03.03.15)
$$$$$$$$$$$ ?
13. No Way!
Larry ,   LA (formerly)   (03.03.15)
Bibi has been one of the best PM's. With Bibi we have successfully defended ourselves against a major attack (war) from Hamas with minimum damage and loss of life to us yet maximum damage, loss of life due to Hamas using civilians as living decoys. Israel's fighting was exemplary. In the area of national and personal prosperity, we are living better than ever before. Israel is one of the top exporters of high tech. More Israelis drive their own cars than ever before. Living standards have shot up and there is plenty of employment. On the personal level, we have freedom to live as we wish, religion, travel, education and health care is open to many personal venues. All in all, I think this article like many of Ynet's opinions are totally biased with leftist Bibi hatred that can not see the truth. Sure there are people who suffer but that is true and even worse in the USA.
14. more?
Ben Kherallah   (03.03.15)
Another appeaser article bashing solely Netanyahu! Appeasers argue that containment will work with a nuclear-armed Iran just as it did with the old Soviet Union during the Cold War and thus there is nothing to really worry about. Israel and other Mideast nations know better. The Iranian government, despite the immense corruption of many of its leaders, is a revolutionary regime. Its actions over the years demonstrate that the rhetoric of its officials is more than just hot air. Iran is terror central. It bankrolls and provides arms to Hamas, Hezbollah and all sorts of Islamic terrorists organizations. If the US tacitly concedes its resignation to Iran becoming a nuclear power, then other countries will follow suite in creating their own nukes, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
15. Netanyahu
S. Kitcoff ,   Leeburg, USA   (03.03.15)
The failure is that of Shiffer. Obama hs embraced Muslim Brotherhood to the point of having them as guests in the White House. It is Obama who has undermined the East from Africa to the Middle East littered with the dead of his policies. It is Obama's back room dealings with Iran and the EUs impotent approach to Iran that is the problem. Netanyahu's crime? Defending his country under increasing odds. Shame on you!
16. Bashing bb
Simon Marriott ,   Haifa   (03.03.15)
There is a very good reason for bashing bb; he is without doubt one of the worst PMs we have ever had. An arrogant waste of space whose sole concern is not for our poor country but whether or not his bum will still be on the PMs chair after this totally unnecessary election. bb is all hot air, full of critisism but no answers tyo his own questions. What is bb going to do about Iran, bomb Tehran? No as usual he will blame everyone else and show himself to be out of touch with the world around him and the alci. Sure Iran is a threat but the action that should have taken place, the bombing of their nuclear facilities, is no longer on the cards. It can't be done. So bb what are you going to do you sad little man?
17. Mr. Shiffer asleep with host of others lacking discernment
Scott ,   Haifa   (03.03.15)
Like Obama, Kerry, U.S. State Department, and Feinstein and Chamberlain...all of you go play golf...can't even read the times...when Iran blows up mock U.S. Ship...wants Israel off the map...sure, lets give them nukes, that makes sense! Iranian leaders are lying wolves in sheep's clothing
18. Iran and Bibi
marc aron ,   Teaneck USA   (03.03.15)
This op-ed is beyond debate. I don't live in Israel so my opinion doesn't matter. However, Schiffer's comments are disgusting. Grow up and wait to see what happens. Unreal
19. talkbacks vrs opinion
Jake ,   Jerusalem   (03.03.15)
It is interesting to note here that although the opinion presented is very anti-Netanyahu, the vast majority of feedbacks are very much pro Netanyahu. Let us hope that the people prevail in the elections and not those perverted opinions that seek to change the image of a good PM.
20. Sheer propaganda
Moshe ,   Israel   (03.03.15)
The author writes that " Instead of taking action acting against Iran and looking for ways to delay Iran's race to become a country with nuclear weapons, he's declared war on America.". But he does not disclose to the readers what kind of action Israel should have taken. Does he mean a military strike ? Or perhaps supersede the 6 world powers in negotiation with the fanatic regime ?
21. 13 Larry Refreshing comment.Thanks
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.03.15)
22. Hysterical, absurd
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.03.15)
The attacks upon Netanyahu daily get loader, more hysterical and absurd. Netanyahu did much to get the Iranian nuclear program onto the world agenda and to keep it there. If the P5+1 accept a bod deal it will be entirely their own fault, not Netanyahu's.
23. i think
sonia ,   jerusalem   (03.03.15)
always i think there is a way between --i agree --and-- i do not agree -- i think israil lost this way
