1. Netanyahu has denied he agreed to the document's contents
Jake   (03.07.15)
And so the burden of proof is on you to refute his denial.
2. Abbas plausible reasons to refrain from a peace treaty
Alan ,   Canada   (03.07.15)
Abbas has vital reasons no to sign a peace treaty mutually acceptable.by Israel & the PA. Such a treaty would necessarily involve PA concessions & whatever these concessions would be they would sufficient to raise the certain death threat from Hamas & Iran accusing Abbas & the PA of treason. Such fear had been privately expressed by Arafat regarding Hamas in past negotiations. Keeping the negotiations going indefinitely is thus a vital security stance but it also has other quite significant advantages. It allows Abbas, his family & his minions to enjoy an endless source of money provided by the US, Europe & the UN agencies. Such a comfortable situation is difficult to relinquish for the uncertain future of a peace treaty with its potential political upheaval.
3. do not believe a word of it

this is obama's design for the jewish state.
4. "In August 2013, a document was written..."
C   (03.07.15)
this document was definitely not written by yitzhak molko or anyone in the pmo's office. who wrote this "document" is not known. what is known is that it was written by people who want to defeat netanyahu. the question is why would anyone want to portray netanyahu as a person of the left. the reasons are twofold: first, there is an attempt to give the impression that netanyahu is a liar and a trickster who would sell out his own personal beliefs that he has held his entire adult life; second, an attempt is made to argue that if netanyahu is willing to make such an adventageous deal for the arab palestinians, it is better to vote for herzog-livni who are the real left. whatever the case might be, this smear is by far the worst against netanyahu thus far.
5. Seems we never learn. Not too encouraging, is it?

if its true and I doubt it is it sounds to me like abbas folded a royal straight flush on the river.
7. Abbas is the opstacle to peace
Ezekial Haim ,   London UK   (03.07.15)
If the above is true ,it shows that Abbas is an obstacle to peace and peace will not be possible while Abbas is around.Your article may well help Netanyahu win the elections.
8. Netanyahu's mistake was trusting Abbas
tiki ,   belgium   (03.07.15)
That's the whole crux. It was, is & will be a mistake to ever trust Abbas. The Israeli Left, EU/US, all believe this soft speaking, well dressed liar. They keep making excuses for this disguised terrorist, turning him into a well meaning peace maker......*the Little Red Riding Hood syndrome. Problem is that most "Palestinians" are an Abbas. Israel's mistake is that they keep trusting these pathological liars.
9. Abbas told the truth
(03.07.15)
Americans and Israeli Leftists have lied about what Abbas wants, but Abbas has never lied or deceived anyone. He has always said that his plan is to destroy Israel. He has said that the purpose of negotiations is to reverse Israel's victory of 1967, including ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem. He has said that he will then flood the remainder of the indefensible and demoralized Israel with Arab refugees. No one can point out even one statement that Abbas made that is contrary to this plan.
10. EVERYBODIE'S MISTAKE WAS TRUSTING ABBASS
Jewish Doctor ,   ATLANTA GA USA   (03.07.15)
EVERYBODIES MISTAKE is TRUSTING ABBASS...a "self made" billionaire*, this schleppy man for no seasons, has amassed 4x what arafat glommed...The big question, WHERE IS ALL THAT GOLD HIDDEN? he's a Billionaire*- in EU's/dollarsUS not just scheckels
11. PM knew that Abbas would not agree
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.07.15)
because one of PM's conditions is unacceptable {if the story is true.} Proof there was no agreement. Don't underestimate Bibi.
12. Abbas is the Obstacle to Peace
Yariv ,   Tel Aviv   (03.07.15)
Abbas belongs to the old PLO terrorist guards, the same PLO that instigated hell on earth in the form of guerrilla terrorism. Abbas cannot be trusted and is not a partner for Israel in its quest in reaching a comprehensive peace agreement. Abbas must be ousted after the elections and the overall whelming Israeli population do NOT trust him. He is corrupt along with his sons and the old corrupt guards that take the PA as a private money making institution at the same time instigating terror and inciting for violence against Israel. Bibi you need to get rid of Abbas - to hell with him. You will find out that peace is much more within our grasp once he is gone. Abbas OUT ! Israel keep building !!!!
13. Desa Vu-Almost
Joe ,   Israel   (03.08.15)
Thanks to Nahum Barnea Israel may have a repeat of the Pentagon Papers, the hero at the time, Daniel Ellsberg. While working for the Pentagon he copied classified documents and distributed them to the press. But here the comparision stops because of the different motivations of the two men. Motivating Ellsberg to risk imprisonment was his opposition to the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, judging from Barnea's past columns regarding Netanyahu, one would be naive to coclude that he is similarly motivated.
14. Hey, Ynet: What's Wrong?!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (03.12.15)
A couple of days ago, I wrote a, somewhat, scathing comment about this leftist rag and its leftist journalist, Barnea. What's wrong, the truth hurts? Just by your denial to submit my comment proves my point: like all typical leftists, they can't stand someone pointing out the truth to them! Ynet is so pathetic...that it's sickening! Let's see if they submit this post--I doubt it, because it would take courage, something that a liberal DOESN'T have! Thank, God...I'm a conservative! I don't have that character flaw: a lack of courage. I'll call a spade-a-spade all day long! So, let the chips fall where they may! In spite of the liberals (and all of their nefarious activities that are sure to be a detriment to the fruition of God's promises) residing in the Promised-Land, may God bless Israel...and, His eternal Abrahamic Covenant!
