You might want to study up on the demographic shifts happening in the USA. The republicans are rapidly losing voters and the democrats are rapidly gaining voters. Voters that are not white, religious, old, racist, male or wealthy have a strong dislike for republicans. And all those categories (white, religious, old, racist, male or wealthy) are rapidly decreasing in size and the republicans have nothing to offer the majority of Americans.
