1. Likud Block Win Inevitable
Zechariah   (03.24.15)
The Margin Victory of the Likud Block indicates it was inevitable and not dependant on Netanyahu Chutzpah and Abrasiveness .The Palestinians can have a State eventually in 50% of the West Bank and 3000 Sq Km of Islamic Israel 6000SqKm for Six Million Islamic Christian and Nationalist Palestinians but not Fatah Ba'ath or Jihadi Califate .Most of The Holy Land is actually for Security :Missile Silos Underground AirBases The Impenetrable Missile Shield the Horrific Deterrance .
2. What has love got to do with it?!It's Obama's toxic ideology
(03.24.15)
that clashes with our vital interests and Netanyahu wisely opposes it. They must understand, that the US needs us no less than we need their support. Europeans are way beyond such understanding, given their historical animosity towards Jews and the present Islamo-denial they live in. Americans are not there YET, so if they wake up in time, they may even manage to impeach this impostor in the White House and get back on with the Program.
3. Obama must let go his ego...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.24.15)
Bibi did so by apologising.
4. In politics, there is no friendship...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.24.15)
only interests. Israel must produce utterly sophisticated arms to win favour of the world
5. The best solution
sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (03.24.15)
is for the US to wash it hands of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Bibi has made it quite clear he is no friend of America and especially black Americans and American Jews unless they are religious zealots or lobbyist. The US should recognize Israeli security interest, however it should not get involved in solving the conflict over the disputed land. We can never be a neutral party considering the animosity and mistrust of the two parties. The best option is to abstain from any more UN actions and let the UN sort out this mess. We have to show the Israeli-Palestinians that they are on there own and we no longer care. It is not the responsibility of the US to solve this problem. It is up to the Israeli-Palestinians and the UN to mediate.
6. A fountain of bad advise
David ,   New york   (03.24.15)
Did he actually say to replace Ron dermer?? That would be the dumbest thing imaginable: he is the most articulate and intelligent ambassador I had ever seen (makes Oren look like a monkey). Look, Obama can cause israel trouble, but he also has susceptibilities: he is getting quite a bit of bad press for all this and this is hurting him. Maybe he hates israel so much, that he doesn't care, but I suspect he is not looking to weaken himself further. Have some self respect-don't live in fear or this guy
7. europe, you lost.

8. Netanyahu and Obama
Nadya ,   California, USA   (03.24.15)
In reading this article I only see that Israel needs the US not the other way around. I would say the ball is definitely in Israel's court and It is in Israel's interest to make things right. It would be easy for the US to shake off Israel who has definitely become a liability.
9. Not Personal, Philosophical & Policy
Jersey Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (03.24.15)
radical difference, hence, differing expectations as to pragmatic real actions & results. Obama & many Americans including Jewish want to end the @50 year military, economic, technology & diplomatic occupation of the millions of Palestinians. And, in particular, stop our USA enabling Israel's bad behaviours at great cost to our USA. Bibi Netanyahu simple does not, and expects to control/leverage all the resources such as land & water all the way to the Jordanian border. The Occupation is not in our US, Israeli or Judaic interests/values. It is not sustainable, and will end in our lifetimes, hopefully soon so as not to destroy Israel ...
10. Obama is the problem
MadDad ,   Johannesburg RSA   (03.24.15)
Now is not the time for liberal retoric to be brought to Israel as Obamas policies have set the ME alight. When Obama can show us that he knows what he is doing then come back to Israel and the talks can begin.
11. Just like you can't make peace with Arabs, you can't
Ralph   (03.24.15)
restore the US-Israel friendship as long as their Arab President is leading them (to destruction and siding with the world's enemy).
12. the emperor of chaos wants to create a new state
C   (03.24.15)
of course, not even the un can create a new state. there will not be a new arab terror state regardless of obama's dictates. obama can decide to send in the marines and the entire us armed forces, in which case there will be a little war in which a lot of people will die. many among the arabs wish for just such a resolution. after all, blood is always cheaper than compromise.
13. Obama has the problem
Benji ,   US   (03.24.15)
He'd rather stick his nose in Israel's business rather than do his job as the elected US leader whose salary is paid by American taxpayers. I suggest Obama take a leave of absence and seek therapy for his Netanyahu obsession. This unproductive diversion serves no purpose except to make Obama look foolish on the world stage.
14. It Doesnt !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (03.24.15)
I Quote - " they cannot allow personal animosity to dictate their actions". Comment - Their personal animosity, comes from different political wievs, hold by their respective personalies. Those wieves is in regard to the security of Israel. If Obama interviene in Israels Security which He wants to dictate, the Iaraeli PM can not follow suit. Arn.Sweden.
15. US-Israel Relations
Donald Goldstein ,   Durham NC US   (03.24.15)
Prof. Gilboa's analysis is superb as are his policy suggestions. This could be a critical juncture is Israel's relations with not only the United States and other Western democracies, but also Diaspora Jewry. If the politicians in both countries could show genuine leadership and avoid the temptation of short term media games, this crisis could be exploited for good, if not it could be disastreous for Israel and the Palestinians.
16. The problem is 100% Obama
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.24.15)
Obama has no interest in making peace with Israel. His loyalties are not towards Israel or America. It is obvious to any thinking person that Obama was looking for an excuse to demonize Israel. That is his agenda. American support for Israel is near historic highs. Israel needs to continue to go around Obama, as much as possible, and address the American people. Bibi's address to Congress was a great start.
17. Obama
Doc ,   cape town   (03.24.15)
it is irrelevant what Netanyahu says and does as the Obama mind was made up the day he was elected first time about the future of usa policy to israel and other western interests. It just needed a so called legitimate excuse to execute the plan. As the end of the second term approaches Obama is getting more desperate to implement his final solution plan for israel. First ostracize it. Then delegitimize it. Then destroy it. What happened to never again ? The leftists refuse to see this has been the plan from day 1...and are helping him along to achieve this outcome.
