I enjoyed the cable cars in San Francisco and got a kick out of one which had been a tramcar in Blackpool northwest England, However sending cable cars thru east Jerusalem is an invitation for more Arab terror attacks and a dangerous idea. Keep the cable cars in west Jerusalem if they would improve transportation. French withdrawal from project for political reasons shows again why diversifying Israel's investment and trading base is essential. Jordan and the Palestinians had it all pre-June 1967 but chose war against Israel and lost. Now Israel is charged with breaking 'international law' for defending itself and demanding the Palestinians make peace. The first international law is the right of self-defense.
