the Captain of the hosts of the Lord is greater than any mere bunch of humans with competing human interests.
3. # 2 and He dwells in Zion.
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (03.29.15)
That's why he created, promised and gave the land Israel to those named after her Israel and to the sons of Israel not once but twice. ( as he did with the 10 Commandments) He dwells in Zion. KEEP BUILDING!!!
4. High time the Arabs used their blood and treasure
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (03.29.15)
to keep the oil they treasure above all. America's paid more than her share to support these dictators and their, no freedom states. Now, let them fight their own battles. Either way, whoever wins also loses as the death toll will keep mounting. We, however are free to watch from the sidelines and drink a beer. To your health. KEEP BUILDING !!!
5. combined arab army

well it looks like obama got the arab sunni countries to do their own military work--removing both the cost to the USA treasurer and the cause for moslem hatred of infidel allies in moslem countries. my only concern is of course that once/if the arab armies stabilize? yemen, that they shouldnt be turned against us. even Abbas' request they be used against Hamas in Gaza has potentially dangerous possibilities. i assume we'll be doubly and triply alert to them all.
6. #5 - you are correct to be concerned

Right now, the Arabs have weapons equal to any that Israel will ever have, but most Arabs still do not have battle experience and their military leadership is still poor. By creating a Sunni joint force and participating in a war with Shia, more Arabs will get battle experience. BUT, eventually the de-colonization and power restructuring of the middle east will settle all the problems between the Arabs and Persians as well as the Sunni and Shia. THEN as you noted, they will turn their attention to getting rid of their little European invader problem. In the past Israel had better weapons and military leadership - the next time that will not be true. I realize that Sarah will want Israelis to commit suicide by nuking the world, but how many people that actually live in Israel will want to commit nuclear suicide? And finally a little something to think about - over the last 10000 years, EVERY military organization that has ever existed has eventually suffered massive, humiliating defeat. Do you really think the same can't happen to the IDF?
7. spyguy: reconciliation as a threat

The Middle East is littered with stone stellas proclaiming "Israel is no more". It took me sometime to recover when I read your forecast of Arab/Persian and Sunni/Shia "eventual" reconciliation. That has been in the works for as long as they existed. Care to suggest a rough timeline for "eventual"? Of course IDF could lose. Preventing that loss is the whole point. The Jews have lost many times before and the 2 Diasporas happened as a result of defeat. That's why there are no more Jews. Oh, wait .... Betting against the Jews is probably the worst wager ever.

Better weapons you say? You must be to too young to remember 1949. I suggest you learn some history before you make a total fool of yourself again and still.
9. #7 & 8 - I am well aware of the last 10000 years
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (03.30.15)
of human history, therefore it is probably not a good idea to bet on Israel given that it has very limited resources and lots of opponents. As Sun Tzu correctly pointed out, a SURE WAY TO LOSE is to believe your own lies. Hubris has destroyed lots of groups over the years. It is not 1948 anymore. The world is awash in weapons that are equal to or better than anything Israel has or will ever have. All weapons are based on same physics so there are no "magic weapons."
10. spyguy: trouble reading
jd ,   New York   (03.30.15)
you seem to have trouble reading: as I said, the Jews have indeed lost many times before. Look up the Egyptian inscriptions: "Israel has been vanquished, its seed is no more", 3200 year ago. So, no worries, no such thing as Israel :)
