Karen Levin ,   Delray Beach, FL USA   (04.03.15)
Short and Sweet: WITHOUT KHAMENEI'S SIGNATURE, THIS DEAL WON'T STOP A BOMB.
2. Rumkowsky and Nahum Barnea share the same mindset

3. Even more interesting..
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (04.03.15)
"Israel doesn't have a military option when it comes to destroying the Iranian nuclear program. And even if such an option existed in the past, it has expired. The United States won't bomb Iran; " So again. Sarah B's comments about israel bombing iran are nothing more than a lie. She does live in her own lala land after all
4. Reality check is right
Joe Jeffrey ,   Wheaton, IL USA   (04.03.15)
The brute fact is that the options with Iran are limited: Breakout in 3 months, or in 10 years. Everyone wants to see no Iran nukes ever, but in fact that ship has sailed. Nice to see someone talking about reality, not just wishes.
5. Your an Idiot writer
Carl Wood   (04.03.15)
Your article shows your real understanding of history. Israel will prevail and your ignorance of the entire situation. You should go back to your courses (if you ever took them) on real journalism/
6. USA congress critters can ONLY embarrass themselves
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (04.04.15)
In REALITY the USA congress critters can NOT derail this agreement if the rest of the P5+1 and Iran decide it is best for the world. The USA has had direct sanctions on Iran since 1979. BUT . . those sanctions have proven to be worthless (Iran recently purchased five new USA helicopters). What has helped convince Iran to negotiate is the sanctions that China and Russia agreed to put in place. If the USA congress critters start messing with the deal, most of ht non-USA sanctions will simply disappear. USA laws do not apply outside the USA.
7. Israel and Iran
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa CA USA   (04.03.15)
Get a grip! Israel has had nukes for a long time--do you think that doesn't force other states to feel a need for the same? Israel has no allies other than the US and many if not most Americans consider Israel a suspect "ally". You have lost the support of the diaspora because of your domestic policies and your refusal to accept any but the Haredim as real Jews. The world has moved on---we will not go to war again for the sake of Bibi's political ambitions. Obama is not afraid of a military confrontation--two wars, $2 trillion spent and thousands wounded or dead give the lie to that. We just see another way to win. Too bad Israel believes killing someone is the only way to win a point.
8. a good summary of realities. Bibi of course has completely
Rafi ,   US   (04.03.15)
... misjudged and mishandled the challenge. Even if another PM had been in power, the outcome may not have been much different... we're talking about various long-term national interests here... not personalities. Nonetheless by his empty threats, overstated raving and amateurish stunts (e.g. time bomb cartoon @ the UN)... Bibi has only weakened Israel's CREDIBILITY worldwide. Kind of like a car spinning its wheels in the mud... just getting in deeper - but making no forward progress whatsoever. BB's actions and ranting have only facilitated self-defeats and needless setbacks for Israel. No one takes him seriously anymore...
9. Israel's leaders are the real danger
Mark Jeffery Koch ,   Mount Laurel, NJ US   (04.03.15)
I read every one of the comments that have been posted on Ynet the past month about the supposed anti-semite Barack Obama who hates Israel and wonder how divorced from reality have Israelis become? At a time America was near falling into a Depression when millions of people lost their homes and their jobs Obama increased aid to Israel every year since he became President. He has protected Israel at the United Nations, and military and intelligence cooperation between Israel and America is at its highest point in history. It was Obama who approved the joint American and Israeli intelligence operations that disabled Iran's centifruges and it is Obama who is responsible for the toughest sanctions enacted against Iran which brought Iran to the negotiating table. This man is your enemy?? You are delusional. So go ahead Netanyahu, bomb Iran. You will set them back at most two years, accelerate their drive to have a nuclear weapon, cause the majority of the Iranian people who oppose their government to rally behind it, cause the entire sanctions coalition to fall apart, enable Russia to send Iran its most sophisticated anti-aircraft weapons, threaten the world's economies, and cause war between Israel and Iran to escalate beyond their borders. The right wing believes it can bomb anyone into submission. it hasn't stopped the Palestinians from wanting their own State, and did not stop Egypt in 1967 because the Egyptians longed for the day that arrived in 1973 when they got their revenge and 3,000 Israeli soldiers were killed. You cannot bomb your enemies into submission. A nation that has 200 nuclear weapons and the world's second best airforce (and the Middle East's best military) needs to stop invoking the Holocaust to justify all the wars and fighting Israel has been involved it. Israel treats the United States as though America has seven million people and Israel has 320 million people. More and more Americans are tiring of Israel and if Netanyahu is allowed to keep on pursuing his quest of denying the Palestinians their rights and trying to force a war with Iran the boycott and divestiture movement will dramatically increase and perhaps the right wing and their supporters will one day learn that it is not Obama that is their enemy, it is your own government that is causing Israel substantial harm.
10. "this verifiable deal, if fully implemented..."
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (04.04.15)
On these six words, Obama is hanging the well-being of many nations. He and Kerry are attempting to sell the deal based on *their* reading of the statement out of Lausanne which Zarif *did not even sign*! The statement reeks of what Kissinger long ago called "creative ambiguity", allowing the two sides to walk away from an agreement with very different understandings - all for the sake of getting a deal. Such ambiguity lead to many problems in Kissinger's days, but the stakes today are far higher. Just to take a single example, the statement refers to "regular inspections", which Obama suggests means intrusive, anytime anywhere inspections without warning. Iran suggests this means "You may inspect, but only sites we don't consider sensitive military sites, and only with lots of prior warning." The deal which might emerge by June 30, I suspect, will respect Iran's demands far more than Obama's magical thinking. I also suspect such a deal won't be completed by June 30, but will require one or more extensions and claims that "progress is being made"

13. loving the flim flam artist
c   (04.03.15)
is it not fun to blame bibi for the evil tricks of the flim flam artist. the flim flam artist just legitimised the genocidal totalitarian terror state of iran as a nuclear state, and as a very wealthy nuclear state. iran will have the ability to have nuclear weapons, plus a huge stock of conventional weapons. we are being told that there was nothing the flim flam artist could do except make a faustian deal with the shia terrorists. it matters not that they still claim the right to destroy the jewish state or invade much of the middle east. we are being told that destroying iran's nuclear sites would be impossible, useless, evil, unwise and altogether un-liberal. these are the leaders that are supposed to protect the free world.
14. here is the problem: Iran & Obama are pathological liars
C   (04.03.15)
iran has been lying about its nuclear weapons program for at least thirty years. they were caught by chance, by dissident elements in iran. the existence of the fordow underground reactor was revealed just when obama became president. obama made it clear that fordow was not needed for peaceful nuclear program, and neither was uranium enrichment or ballistic missiles. yet now, natanz will continue enriching, fordow will remain open, ballistic missiles will be built and the iaea will not even have rights to snap inspections. the genocidal totalitarian shia terror regime will continue to rule the captive people of iran and will continue its acts of genocide and terror, with many more weapons and soon, a nuclear umbrella.
15. Israel knows better than most
JS ,   USA   (04.03.15)
I don't think Israel needs a reality check on Iran. Its clear Israel and the world fully recognizes that Iran wants a nuclear weapons program. It is also clear Israel expects Iran to cheat just like the North Koreans did to slick willy and W. But Israel is stuck here, it sucks but its true. Clandestine operations are not going to stop a program this size and Sarah B's low frequency radio wave earthquake machines turned out to be a myth so this deal is what we have. Until a different administration is elected into office here in the US.

19. History proves Israel can do ANYTHING she must do!
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.04.15)
This deal is worse than no deal. The fact that infallibly wrong far leftist Barnea supports the deal, is more proof of how despicable it is. Barnea has NEVER been correct on a major issue. Israel and must destroy Iran's nukes. This deal gives Iran the opportunity to build nukes while removing sanctions. History proves that when Israel must do something, Israel CAN do it!
20. #19 - Fly the lead bomber Chaim.
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (04.05.15)
Since you obviously know much more than the generals in charge to the IDf, you should lead the charge. Have yo ever actually thought about WHY the IDF (and he US military) have been so reluctant to attack Iran? All military have very real limits on their aggression and Israel has reached their limit. The real world really hurts doesn't it.
