1. Why are they still getting power?
Etan Fischer ,   Tel Aviv   (04.05.15)
If any Israeli citizen stops paying, the power is shut off
2. The crybaby is so predictable!
David ,   Hartford USA   (04.05.15)
Why should 'Palestine' have to pay any bills to Jews? We take what we want and never pay bills. And so when hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of Arabs don't pay their taxes, they are stupid enough not to wonder why their roads and schools and hospitals are not at the same standard of Israel's. Dear Mr. Abbas: bully for you! Give the money back in a hissy fit- it won't be offered again. What makes Abbas think that his 'Palestine' doesn't have to pay its bills? Israel was just plain stupid for supplying power and water all these years for free. Time to pay the piper, Mr. Abbas. You pay salaries to terrorist dirtbags in prisons, you give 'death bonuses' to the families of killed terrorists, so if you have so much extra money to reward terrorists with, you must have enough to pay your utility bills. So pay up and shut up. The world is tired of the Palestinians getting a free ride in everything they do. They show no sense of responsibility at all. All they can do is cry to the ICC that Israel is bothering them. As if the ICC will do anything about it. It won't- because any claim from Abbas is trumped by the 70 years of Arab terrorism against Israel and the Jews of Israel before Israel existed. Any case in the ICC will result in the world being exposed to the filth and scum of Palestinian activity and leadership over the last 8 decades. From the Mufti who was Hitler's sidekick, to Arafat and Abbas, the world will decide that 'Palestine,' as shown through its history of terrorism, doesn't deserve to exist. So go ahead Mr. Abbas. Give it your best shot. You will fail. In the real world, terrorism is never rewarded. (Except for Obama and Kerry with Iran! But that's another story.) Give the money back. I'm sure Israel can find decades of other bills you haven't paid. Seriously, I don't think a bigger idiot than Abbas has ever lived. I'm amazed that the Arabs haven't 'retired' him ages ago.
3. A tip for Mr. Abbas.
Gabe ,   Canada   (04.05.15)
Perhaps Syria, Jordan and Lebanon would give him water and electricity for free. Jews make their money the old fashioned way; THEY EARN IT.
4. The solution is obvious
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.05.15)
Cut off their power. Cut off their water. Ban them from Israeli hospitals and clinics. It's high time those leeches and parasites stopped schnorring off the Israeli taxpayer. Revoke all work permits issued to "palestinians" in Judea and Samaria. Let Abbas find jobs for them. So Abbas want to play hardball? Fine. We'll play, too. Threats to go to the ICC? How is he planning to get there? Swim? If he wants to go via Ben Gurion, we'll make sure his ticket is one-way. So tired of all the whining. That's all the "palestinians" know how to do.
5. Since abu mazen Still Doesn't Get It
(04.05.15)
Maybe, Israel should dismantle pa, repatriate all arabs with jordanian papers, give notice to the warq, that in thirty days you vacate Temple Mount, Israel will take authority of all Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, this could go to Knesset and National Vote???
6. #1
Harold ,   USA   (04.05.15)
They are not Israeli citizens they are occupied and colonized and they have to be provided free electricity.
7. Not surprising, that's the palestinian motto:

Do we give free electricity to American Indians?
11. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.05.15)
What has Abbas and his bureaucrats done with the hundreds of millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of euros which have poured into the "palestine" authority for two decades? They certainly haven't spent it on improving the crumbling infrastructure, or in attracting foreign investment capital. They certainly haven't done anything to create jobs for the vast majority of "palestinians" under their rule. What they HAVE done is created a bloated "civil service," providing no-show jobs for their extended family. The size of the pa's civil service rivals that of the City of New York. On the other hand, Abbas & Co. are some of the wealthiest individuals on the planet. That's where the money went. Do you really think that the "palestinians" are sufficiently mature to actually operate a country? Not unless you want a complete welfare state that will gouge the taxpayers of every other country in the world. But I'm willing to give it a try. They can have Gaza. What they CANNOT have is Judea and Samaria. And if they misbehave in Gaza, they will lose that, too. We've had quite enough of the "palestinians." And you want to be a little bit more circumspect about throwing the word "apartheid" around. What do you think was done to the Jewish people who lived in East Jerusalem and Hebron and Shehem when Jordan took control in 1948? Those that managed to avoid being massacred were stripped of their property, homes and businesses. The same thing happened to the one million Jews who lived in Arab and Moslem lands. All their property, bank accounts and belongings were confiscated and they were expelled with little more than the clothes on their backs. Get an education before you post nonsense.
12. arabs getting services for free
Shira ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.05.15)
If a Jew doesn't pay for their services that were rendered, their services are cut off immideatly, and then to have it re-installyed, they must pay an additional fee and fine, why should the arabs get their services for nothing? In addition, why should they use Israeli services at all? They hate us! Let them provide their own water, electricity, phone, gas services to their own people, why should Israel provide them with anything? They're a bunch of connivers and deceivers!
13. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.05.15)
They are citizens of Jordan. Let Jordan provide them with electricity, fresh water and medical care. Good luck with that one! Of course, we can always reunite them with their fellow Jordanians. But Israel's border to the east is quiet for now, and we'd like to keep it that way. So the best solution all around would be to send all the "palestinians" to Gaza, where they can work on their unity arrangement. Whatever they can carry on their backs, they can have. Given what happened to the Jews who were expelled from Arab and Moslem lands, there's a nice irony in that. At least Israel absorbed most of the penniless Jewish refugees; as did France and a handful of other countries. Which is the better adage to describe the foregoing? Turnabout is fair play? How about revenge is a dish best eaten cold? I go with the latter, myself. But both work.
14. #8, so true. Arab Apartheid is prevalent everywhere in ME.

15. To nr. 4.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (04.06.15)
Dear Sarah B., U.S./Israel, you are very inventive. If the politicians would use your suggestions, then the "pal" problem would be solved in the blink of an eye. You also made me laugh and you made my day. Salute, Sjoerd Ruurd.
16. Embezzlement
Mark be Josef ,   USA   (04.06.15)
Israel signed up to be a tax collection agent for the Palestinian Authority. Now, the agent seems to be embezzling. The taxes are Palestinian property The PA never agreed to the unilateral embezzlement. The Israeli action meets the common definition of Embezzlement: "The fraudulent conversion of another's property by a person who is in a position of trust, such as an agent or employee.
17. GOOD. Now use all of it to pay PA's BILLS!!!!!!!!!
Hula   (04.06.15)
About time.
18. To : #6, Harold
Gabe ,   Canada   (04.06.15)
They don't have to be provided anything. Drinking from the Jordan River and dusting off their oil lamps will do it.
19. ungrateful child. pay off a ll utilities debt. the only acce
ralph   (04.06.15)
Accept prepayment. Pals should now receive utilities each month to the extent they prepaid. Up to them to schedule rate at which they want to receive such services. No more freebies. Pals must grow up. They won't so long as we keep covering their childish behavior.
20. Good! Keep it all...
Sam ,   texas   (04.06.15)
Thanks Abbas, now Israel can apply the rest to your ginormous electric bill
21. reply to 11
Adler J   (04.06.15)
so? under existing agreemenrs Israel and his bureaucrat system collect millions of dollars in taxes on behalf of the Palestinians. Is this one of the reason Israel is not interested Palestinians become an independent State? Is no secret for the Israeli burocrat system that many wealthy arabs and european countries are interested to invested foreign capital, to create jobs etc, Maybe Israel burocrat system is afraid that A Palestinian State could became a wealthy democracy in the region, do you really think "palestinians" do not got an education? think about arab governments like Dubai, Medina, bahrein helping them with money, oil and technology so after sll Palestinians could be a reasonable and brilliant nation. Iarael doesnt want competition, thats it.
22. So Abbas believes the Palestinians should get free electricity?
Robert ,   Belgium   (04.06.15)
Du-uh!
23. Used to free rides
tiki ,   belgium   (04.06.15)
Of course Abbas doesn't want to receive the tax money (without the debts it owes to Israel), for he's used to get everything for free from the US/EU etc. The utter chutzpah from Israel to deduct the millions what Abbas owns them for years & yers and refuses to pay is of course another just reason to go to the ICC. The ICC doesn't have a clue yet what's waiting for them. They will be used by the 'State of Palestine" as their private prosecutor, like the "cause of the Palestinians' is the worst & only injustice the world has known which makes all other injustices dwarf.
24. (6) Harold
tiki ,   belgium   (04.06.15)
They are citizens of the "State of Palestine", the "State" recognized by 160 countries and should therefore pay their bills! They can't have it both ways!
25. deductions
spondres ,   Derby, UK   (04.06.15)
The cost of deploying Iron Dome last year should be deducted too.
26. # 18 Gabe, or the pals could go to Yarmouk.
(04.06.15)
That might give them a new appreciation of the compassion of the Israeli's vs. ISIS and Syria. Their saying is "The Israeli's are more compassionate than the Arabs." Hmm, pretty much says it all. KEEP BUILDING JEWISH ISRAEL !!!
27. @ #6 - Harold
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (04.06.15)
"They are not Israeli citizens they are occupied and colonized and they have to be provided free electricity." Please cite the international law or convention that supports this claim, prove that the Palestinians are "occupied and colonized" according to the rules of evidence. Good luck with that.
