OK, it's not as good as fresh hummus in Israel, but Sabra is my favorite here. I especially like the version with Pine Nuts. This story doesn't tell us how listeria got into the manufacturing chain.

The only thing Sabra did was supply the recipe for the hummus. That was its part in the joint venture. Still, it's a lot less dangerous than consuming caviar from Russian sturgeon. Unless you really want to ingest alarming amounts of cobalt.

Well, since PepsiCo handles the manufacturing, that would be a question for them, wouldn't it? I like Sabra with red peppers myself. I dream about it during Pesach! But PepsiCo had better step up and answer to its manufacturing flaws. I'm old enough to remember when PepsiCo was run by Andrall Pearson and Cartha ("Deke") DeLoach.
